"There is a lot of distractions out there and social media definitely helps with the distractions. It hurts the industry a lot because I know some super talented people not interested in fame that are so busy harnessing their craft and being brilliant in real life that they hardly have a social media presence. They are too busy doing the work and hardly are interested in posting selfies or singing videos all the time. It makes me sad sometimes because now the entertainment industry won’t even look your way if you have no social media presence as if that is the value of your gift. True artists don’t base their gift on fame and attention. Most of the artists I know that love the art of performing and music are the most introverted people I know! They love the quiet, not the fame.
