More thoughts on de-aged Baby Bruce:
Alfred puts his foot down about diaper duty and cleaning duty. If the kids want the fun times with Bruce, they sure as well can change his diapers and bathe him when it's necessary.
Cassie is teaching him sign language. She likes to hold and dance with him, and they play with finger colors. They and Damian go to the museum where they point out their favorite pictures to him.
Dick plays airplane with him. And throws him into the air and catches him. Bruce squeals, which attracts Alfred's attention who has a mock heart-attack.
Jason jokingly calls him "Dad" and Dick has a crisis. He gets back at Jason when he's doting on Bruce.
Stephanie buys him a Spoiler onesie, of course entirely in purple. She's another one who throws Baby Bruce.
It emotionally hits the family at different times again and again that he's a baby. The vulnerability of his state and that he, is now the youngest. They enjoy these days. It's just that it's sometimes hard to remember that even though it's temporary, their dad / mentor / son isn't there currently.
Duke is, This is fine. It's not fine. He knows in his mind that Bruce's safe; his heart says otherwise. Sure, Bruce's (maybe) not his dad. He's still in a parental role for him and has been looking after him in ways where they both feel comfortable. Duke doesn't realize how upset he is until Cassie and Tim pull him into a hug after a long day after patrol. His worries spill out of him like a river.
This is when Alfred brings Bruce. He has one look at him and his pudgy baby hands stay in Duke's sweater the entire evening. Zatanna calls and reasures him that the magic will not affect Bruce once he's the correct age again.
One of these times led to Jason comforting and hugging Dick who was playing with Baby Bruce and the longing for their dad slammed full force into his chest. They fell asleep with him lying between them, curled protectively as they hold each one of the baby's hands.
Talia can't decide if Damian was cuter as a baby or Bruce. Something aches in her chest to see him that carefree.
