Enchanted 3 - attend or not attend..?

As a relative (shy) newbie to this fandom - which is brilliant & creatively-awesome - I’m really umm-ing & ahh-ing over whether or not to attend.

I’ve got the ok from the hubby & kids, I’ve got the funds, I’m just... a bit... dunno... shy (again!); and maybe slightly intimidated...

I’d be going by myself as no one in my circle of friends is as interested obsessed with OUAT Colin O’Donoghue as I am; which isn’t the issue in itself - I’m fine with travelling & going alone.

I suppose I’m just worried I won’t enjoy it as much as I could/should if I’m standing shyly in the corner in between panels, autos, etc, instead of being able to fully dissect everything happening with like minded individuals.

I guess what I’m asking is this:

If I go to Enchanted 3 by myself, will other attendees talk to me or will everyone clique off with those they already know & have met in the fandom for & ignore the likes of me looking on wistfully?

wait hold on, the last time those two attended a convention was really 7 years ago?! when OUAT ended?!

I haven't followed their whereabouts that closely but I had assumed that they would've at least shown up at some smaller ones at the same time since then

I had to check back on my blog, but I believe you're correct, the last convention that Jen and Colin appeared at together was in 2017. They were supposed to be at one in 2020, but it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

How fun for the fans who will be able to attend! I hope there will be folks who blog/tweet/whatever from the convention, I'd love to hear what they have to say after all this time. I don't know anything about this convention, how it will be set up, but hopefully they'd to a panel together?

This is probably completely random, but man, I was just going through my old posts and ended up seeing the last convention that Colin and Jen did together. And we were supposed to get them in convention this year and now we have to wait another year! Their friendship is the best! That is all. :D

YES! What is better than a CS convention? All the fun joking and camaraderie and their willingness to serve as ship captains. They bring their A-game every time. Think of all the amazing tidbits we got from conventions over the years, bits about impromptu scarf-tying scenes, and pumpkin carving and when they knew Captain Swan was true love (end of S3.) 

Even among all the things that 2020 has stolen from humanity, the cancellation of Enchanted still really stings. However, we will look to the future.  One day they will reunite at a convention and we will get to relive the magic once more. Let’s hope it’s sooner, rather than later, in fact, you know what to do...

I'm literally crying of happiness right now. I wasn't sure we'd ever get them at a con together again.

I knew it was only a matter of time, and that time has come!!!

It’s bold for people who ship a woman with her mass-murdering, rapist step-grammy who orphaned her and stole her son, to call a loving relationship between equals “toxic” but that’s the logic of delusional crackshippers for you. They’ll never be over the fact that their ship is nothing more than their own sexual fantasies, and Captain Swan is the most epic, canon, happily every after, happy beginning ship ever.

These are the people who insisted they were the biggest ship and that Captain Swan was just a handful of teenagers and middle-aged housewives (they couldn’t decide which) right up until Captain Swan came in way ahead of them in the most reblogged ship of the year (4th they were 20) on tumblr.  They think that everyone owes them something, starting with the show and ending with JMo attending a con with Lana.  They are going to be forever disappointed.  JMo’s not going to consent to be in the same room as their fav anytime soon and she is long past letting them dictate what she does when it comes to cons and fandom.

Thankfully times have changed DRASTICALLY since FT3. That was back before JMo was done with them and was still trying to be “fair” and making an effort with them. FT3 was before the YNB incident that occurred a few months later when she turned a corner and finally stopped rewarding their bad behavior at all. No way JMo is going to cancel duo photo ops because they’re bitching now.

Dude, that’s quite a reach. I really don’t think either JMo or Colin think they need a buffer for a convention 3 years after their story ended on screen.  It’ll be fine. MRJ is an accessory, he’s not selling anything here, and he knows it.

That would be amazing, I would be so thrilled for all of us! For the fandom who would get the reports and for everyone who would get to go… okay, let’s not count our chickens before they’re hatched…  you know what to do…
