I think about this a lot, we know that those operatives were brainwashed with suppressed criminal impulses and sent back to wherever they came from after getting caught, but unlike carm and gray who recovered their memories these 6 didn't, which means that they are still out there living their life as a completely different person for years at this point, and that's so sad, they've been living a lie for years, they could have families now, children, long time friends something they got from being someone else. Also gray wasn't a VILE operative for long, a bit over a year but a few of these have to have been there for wayy longer, so they just lost their memories of a few years, they've been living with a gaping hole of their life missing. That's just sad to think about.

And I am so writing a fic about it.

Player’s Laptop Stickers

In Carmen Sandiego s4, we get a shot of Player’s laptop.

Here are my takes of the stickers:

1. Rainbow star! LGBTQ+ Player!

2. Gamestop Logo at the bottom

3. Slime Rancher Chroma packs on the right, but rotated on the side, maybe?

4. I can’t figure out what either of these stickers are, so I’d love to hear your opinions. They most likely are different video game titles/logos, but I’m not very well versed in video games. Any ideas?

Carmchase anon inspired to finish this up already so I guess it achieved something.

Anyways, chase has a lot of misunderstandings about carmen in the show, like a lot and I think it's so funny to think about him asking her about it post-canon.

Ask her who the hell that guy she left on the train is, cause he sure as hell ain't a civilian, he beat them all up.

Who's the Duchess, cause everybody's still under the assumption that her and carmen are separate people.

Did she ransack that museum in Mumbai and who was she fighting cause what was with all that paper.

Why did she cut his coat?

Part 2 of who the hell's that guy, he kidnapped me and scrambled my brain but you're working together, wtf is going on here.

Did that Island have anything to do with VILE or was he wayy of base.

What is up with that woman who crushed me and what were you there to steal in a wrestling competition.

Why did you change your colours in the party.

Can VILE operatives really cheat ACME's truth machines, how?

Was legit writing and realised that the faculty would absolutely know that carmen visited gray at the laboratory. The cleaners would have told them that carmen was there, which means that carmen knows about brainwashed gray, maelstrom talks to Dr. Bellum about how if they don't reinstate him, carmen will use him against them and then after her escape he says to gray "that he takes him being here as a sign of him having chosen his side" implying that he knows that he could've also gone with carmen, so he knows that carmen talked to him, I just realised this.

Y'know I think it's interesting how team red were putting all their faith in the matryoshka dolls to bring Carmen back, I say this is in relation to shadowsan, cause he's literally VILE faculty, shouldn't he know that bellums device can't be triggered by something with a strong connection, no matter how strong (which is something I really appreciate cause VILE would not use something that's not proven to be foolproof) ACME's "experimental brain gizmo" is the only thing that we know can do that and it was literally designed to trigger memories and I think it can mean one of two things-

1) He was desperate and as something Carmen had her whole life he was hoping it would work.

2) He didn't bother to know more than the basics, he knew it suppressed criminal impulses and memories and that was all he needed to know he didn't question whether something could trigger them back, I think this is more plausible cause he stayed behind in the new zealand caper just to make sure that gray's memories don't risk being triggered, so yeah, I don't think he bothered to know more than the basics.

If you think about it, carmen is a nepo baby.

Y'know since gray knew that carmen would go personally to steal the eye of Vishnu, implying that she told him that shadowsan stole it (not true but she doesn't know that) and probably about her family lore as well, like yeah, they made shadowsan betray them and he would know that but that's not personal enough for her to go and steal it in person, so she probably told him.

I've been re-watching cs episodes lately,( after a long time and not in order, just the ones I feel like), and re-watching "the crackle goes kiwi caper", when team red is talking about the plan, player mentions that they "can't risk awakening any memories or criminal impulses".

I've always wondered whether or not shadowsan shared that "hey, brainwashed ex-operatives aren't actually themselves" piece of information and I don't know how I missed this, but by that line, I guess he did.
