I need to put this somewhere where I won't lose it, so here's a short snippet that will contextualize further Gavril's past and specifically *why* he's suffered greatly during his youth. He is the one who first ignited the passion for playing the piano in Gavril as a child, and the one who encouraged him to start his career through paying for his first lessons. It was he who was supposed to be the best, the one known for such talent, but once Gav began taking attention away from his father in his social circles and also in the family, he grew jealous and cold towards his son. With that, he had always the highest expectations of him, his little Gavril had to be Perfect, otherwise did he really earn a skill worthy of so much praise? He can't possibly be the gifted one if he was so shit at being the perfect little pianist. It was either go big or go bigger with him, he expected no less. The jealousy turned soon into pent up anger and frustration, which gave him an extremely short temper over the years. Failure was sometimes expected of a little kid, but not after ten years passed since Gavril first pressed those keys. And so he used such excuse to be verbally and physically adverse towards him, intimidating him into submission just so he could still have control over him. If he couldn't be the best player, he'd be the best trainer.
