i am HOME NOW prepare to be fucking PRESSURE WASHED WITH INFO NOW because im going to talk about my favorite oc:
GRANDPA
this fruity mother fucker that i am obsessed with and think about every single day of my goddamn life is Csatta (pronounced Sah-cha). He's old and pathetic and i think about him Every Fucking Day
He's very old I want to reiterate that- nearly 47 billion years old. He's older than the universe he's currently living in. (The universe- Oblivion- is a collab between myself and a close friend)
He was one of the last of his species left in his home universe when he left, along with his sister and a small group of survivors. The only two left there now are both major gods and can't be killed.
Speaking of his sister! She's not actually related to him, because they don't have parents. They're both whats known as Primordial Solraine. The first members of their species formed from pure magic by the hand of the god that created them. They consider each other siblings because they're two sides of a magical coin- Csatta is space, and Urivii is time- and they just clicked in that sibling way.
Every single Solraine in Oblivion is there *because* of him, with a few more modern exceptions like Cyclohexane. His magic (dubbed Spacefolding) provides him with an ability to manipulate space extremely precisely, and he's strong enough to spacefold between completely separate universes. In their home universe they were driven to extinction, except for those he sent to Oblivion to keep safe.
Also speaking of his magic! He shaped his body specifically for it. One of the things that helps him focus his ability is physical motion, specifically grasping the air and bringing his hands together. He refers to it as "visualizing the fold" he's making and it's the entire reason why his second set of arms is so like that. They're little and vestigial looking because the only thing he uses them for is his magic.
I don't just call him grandpa because he's old either, he Is a grandpa! Many times over, in fact! His lineage is mostly lost to time as he hasn't had many kids, but he has four known (great) grandkids in oblivion. They're Seraph, Erredas, Telvora, and Ramarii. He's also got 3 kids in Oblivion- The oldest is his daughter Valentine, and the younger two are the twins Luto and Neresine.
Despite his chill and slightly aloof personality/behavior he very much has ADHD by the way. He's hard to shut up and never stops moving, especially when he's talking. His hands go everywhere.
He also made himself a pocket dimension where he stores his important things. He uses it as a hammerspace/extra pockets sometimes, but really its just his prized possessions. Some keepsakes, his gun and waraxe, and his viola all live here permanently.
bonus small facts: he's a decent cook, a mild germophobe, has a hole in his head that the mask is covering, and is capable of killing.
(btw, a lot of the ocs linked belong to my cool friend @erezar-zaral-rezanova, the one who actually started Oblivion and a very swag artist!)
Apparently my last ref for this old freak is four and a half years old, so I decided to update it because he's my favorite rattly old bag of sticks 💖I'm pretty damn happy with how it came out too, though I do regret deciding to draw his weapons because I'm so ass at drawing them.
