“Twenty should cover it, right?” Sebastian flipped through the notes in his hand, offering a bill to the astonishingly attractive cab driver. Since when did London have cute cab drivers anyway? The stranger, Emile, flashed him a suggestive smile at the generous tip, and Sebastian had half a mind to pause in his excursion and chat the stranger up a little longer. But no. He had made plans, and had already whiled away his extra time by taking a taxi because parking was godawful along the river. With a reluctant sigh, Sebastian climbed out of the car.
He’d been dropped off less than a block away from the river side. Sebastian wandered, the South Bank crowded with tourists coming to look at the Eye. Why he’d chosen this spot to meet Marley at, he wasn’t even sure. It was a far cry from the dog tag party he’d originally planned, but perhaps he benevolently wanted to give the adorable American a chance to explore an exciting attraction that was little more than a bore to him.
Sebastian paused, scanning the crowd that was enjoying the view of the Thames, wondering if he’d even be able to find Marley here. For good measure, he grabbed his phone, shooting a text to the number he’d gotten from her when they’d made the change in plans.
‘I’m waiting outside County Hall. The view of Parliament is breathtaking. Kind of makes me want to become a criminal mastermind just so I can infiltrate it.’
