NAYUTA’S NOT DEAD!! HEAR ME OUT (unless im coping)

Narratively, it wouldn’t be right for Nayuta to be killed off before the prophecy of nostradamus. More specifically before the reunion between horsemen sisters. So I’m betting that nayuta somehow have escaped pass the angry mob before the week timeskip. How? We prolly won’t know for now. The decapitated head barem presented was just a decoy given nayuta’s mole below her left eye is nowhere to be seen. There’s also the fact her eyes are drawn with subtle shading if you squint. I had to edit the contrast to confirm that I wasnt insane.

Barem 100% has no clue of her whereabouts and did this as a desperate attempt to bring out chainsaw man via breaking denji’s will.

So after yesterdays Chainsaw Man chapter, I had LOTS of thoughts, and now I have a big theory on how Barem’s plan isn’t going to work/is misguided.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

So in this latest chapter, it’s shown that once again, the goal of the villain is to get Denji to transform into the “true chainsaw man”. And Barem says that it requires two things, everyone’s fear of Chainsaw Man, and Denji’s unhappiness.

The first part is obvious. Devils get more powerful the more scared people are of them. So to have the Chainsaw Man that can wipe concepts from existence, there probably needs to be plenty of fear.

The second part is where I think Barem is wrong. I believe he got the info on how to bring about true Chainsaw Man from Makima, but he didn’t get the full story about it.

Makima was making Denji unhappy to break the contract between Denji and Pochita. And the goal wasn’t to just make him unhappy, but to make it so he could no longer live a normal life.

Barem, probably only getting part of the plan to make Denji’s life hell, attempts to do the same things in Part 2, with burning Denji’s house and potentially killing Nayuta. But without ever making it so that Denji doesn’t want to live a normal life, he will never be able to bring out the Black Chainsaw Man.

But there’s more to my theory. I believe that even Makima was wrong in her idea of how to break Pochita’s contract. The words in Chapter 1 that Pochita says to Denji isn’t “live a normal life”, it’s “show me your dreams”

It just so happens, that Denji’s first dream at that time was to live a normal life. And so Makima’s plan was able to go through because she broke Denji’s dream and made him believe he could never achieve it.

The reason that Barem’s plan has no chance of working with his current understanding is that Denji’s dream has changed. His dream is no longer to live a normal life, but to be chainsaw man.

So even though Denji might be at the verge of breaking, I don’t believe that he will turn into Black Chainsaw Man anytime soon. At least, not in this conflict with Barem. But I do think that the next arc after this conflict will Barem will start with Denji wondering if he wants to be Chainsaw Man. And if he ever decides that he hates being Chainsaw Man or wishes he never was Chainsaw Man, THAT will break the contract and bring out Black Chainsaw Man.

But, of course this is a guess. I can never fully understand or see what Fujimoto is going to do, so we just gotta be on his wild ride of a story.

makima got killed by denji eating her, now nayuta just became food in front of denji and both of them are the control devils. idk where fujimoto is going with those parallels, might be that the control devil's fate?

This past month of Chainsaw Man chapters have been a RIDE. And it just KEEPS GETTING WORSE. I can’t keep doing this weekly, my heart can’t take it.
