Ethan and I worked on Diner Dash. We copied a game similar to Diner Dash and Whac-a-Mole, in which two teams hit their targets as fast as possible in a set time period. We made two versions of the game; in the first version, the two teams are split into two sides, like it is in the video. In the second version, there is no barrier, so the two teams have to move to the left and right sides to get their targets.
Currently, the problem with the game is that it's too simplistic, thus it's kind of boring. Right now, we're just hitting the targets, and there's not really an exciting element to this game besides that there's a timer. So we need to change the game mechanics somehow to make it more interactive (rather than just hitting the buttons, maybe including a team aspect like in the video example). The boxes don't really work with this game because you can't leave the boxes on the buttons (otherwise the box would just be holding down the buttons).
The next steps would probably be to redesign the game and use the boxes somehow.
