I listedto "the cure" by Olivia Rodrigo while writing my book, but now i am thinking about Luka and Roxy.

I see Luka as someone that also dated a lot before Roxy but never felt really any connection (Only in his situationship with ???? i suposse) and the nuggets about Mc backstory gives me the picture of someone that only feels he can be loved if he is useful to th person. So he was a constant people pleaser with his other partners, despite not being particularly in love with any of them, which resulted in a lot of toxic relationships where he was used in many ways.

And Roxxie is the first time where he feels genuinely madly in love with someone, but at the same time the first time he feels useless for someone, so how can he be loved? So he has this constant war on his head abou loving Roxy so much and grasping at any signsof her love to ignore this constant poison on his heart.

Because if she loves him certainly it must have something good in him, right? It must exist something special in him for her to not just throw him away, he must be useful to her in someway, right? And deep down he feels that uselfuness is in the sex, which makes her cheating on him even worse.

Which is also why i am really interested in romancing R in a breakup route. I am not sure how Mara will approach the route, but i am super curious because i really like the idea that was created in my head? Like, how will they react when they notice the other isnt there? How will they react if the other looks worse/better withou them?
