Editing is a necessary process, but not everything that has been cut out of a final draft needs to be left in the infinite obscurity that is the cutting room floor, doomed to a lifetime of non-existence. Therefore, I am now introducing Ctrl-X to this blog. It's a new feature, but I can't promise any particular regularity to it. Put simply, I will Ctrl-X a statement that needs to be edited out of something I am writing, and Ctrl-V it here without any context.
Ctrl-X 10.15.12:
People dread travelling, which is reinforced by the feeling of being taken advantage every time they pay over a months’ rent for the privilege of squeezing into ancient seats imbued with the fear of generations of flyers before them, and then be handed a small packet of overly-salted peanuts and a flimsy cup full of water that they try to place far enough from the edge of the broken pullout tray so as not to inadvertently catch their neighbors’ tears when everyone realizes the in-flight movie is Vanilla Sky with blue and green lines cutting Tom Cruises’ nose into quarters.
