How to main Wii Fit trainer. I've been using her since day one but I'm so noob, have you got any pro tips on being good at using her?
okay well it kinda changed a bit since recently due to the newest update
so my tips
wft is really good of stage, like incredibly good, if your opponent is off stage you can probably go after them and be able to return
while of stage you can charge you sun salutation (B) and to cancel it but hold its charge just air dodge, also shooting it pauses you in the air for a few frames
deep breathing (down B) also slows you in the air for its whole duration, learn to use it on and off stage well and time the usage properly otherwise your gonna be wide open (doing it off stage means your also away from a potential danger just make sure you can recover) (also this move is good cause it restores 2%)
Deep Breathing + Fully charged sun salutation = Kill move
at every moment you can try charging the sun salutation, for every full one fired you recovery 2% now (since the last update) so like firing 5 will recover you 10%
again get good at using sun salutation and charging it whenever you can without being open, oh and dont be afraid to hold onto it for a bit, you have it till you fire
header (Side B) should pretty much always be used when returning to the stage, it forces them to shield or dodge which is time which can be used to return safely
get good at tilts and using her jab once or twice, they are all really good as they hit both sides, its not super necessary for tilts but it really goes a long way and allows for juggling
with her aerials her neutral is great on short hops, after an up of side tilt, fair can spike if you hit with the leg, PRACTISE SPIKING WITH DAIR, this move is so good for early kos and this is what makes wft deadly off stage
if her jab grounds the opponent at a high percent you can go for either side smash or up smash, but only do up smash if your directly on top of them
speaking of up smash only go for it if your sure it will hit, its hitbox is really small and most of the time fsmash is a better option anyway
dont be afraid to camp ot a little if need be, if the foe really likes jabs and things keep your distance force them to approach and punish them for it
oh and crouching is a vaild option especially against foes like fox, falco, zelda, palutena etc cause you’re harder to hit and you’re less likely to get grabbed, plus down smash is amazing too
down throw is your combo throw and can combo into neutral and back air, even up air (btw up air can kill at high percent's along with back air) while up and back throws are your best for killing the opponent
not really a huge tip but try not to play too aggressive with wft, she’s about being accurate with your choices so colour wise I avoid red since it makes you play aggressive and I normally go blue cause it helps you think logically, but what ever colour you pick is up to you
that’s pretty much everything of the top of my head, though I recommend watching other people play her too, my main recommendation is acestarthe3rd watch his undefeatable series of wii fit trainer (theres about 14-15 eps now?) and you’ll learn how to face certain match ups too, and if you’re interested in some technical stuff he made a video listing all her changes since the new patch (1.1.0)
