CTRT--covid trauma response team-- developing. Being a 1st responder to community disasters since 1991, now covid-19 and it's long-term exposure I feel need to formulate, develop a post quarantine / pandemic trauma intervention response team. Although Covid-19 trauma intervention has immediate intervention needs 4 people losing jobs being isolated from family, being Frontline workers so, being separated from family losing family excetera but even more so there will be many post-event needs because so many have had to go through do extended periods of times. Covid-19 has and will have similar impact on people both similar to sudden events like tornadoes or Community violence but will also be similar to long-term trauma impacts like ongoing abuse with no Escape or similar to combat veterans especially those since mid-90s exposed to wider variety of combat events over longer periods of times. When trauma is ongoing individuals often find a way dissociate from some of the immediate symptoms just in the adrenaline of survival. But like with many traumas I feel we're going to have a large population in need of services as time passes post quarantine. I think the need will be intense from many different populations. This has always been an issue once we pass the crisis and the attention and intervention slows down and yet there's an intense need. In these Changing Times I really think we need to look at the fact that there are number of long-term effects and we can form a group within our cities or across the u.s. that can play a role in helping lessen through intermediary services.
