Okay there’s a lot I want to say and it’s really hard to say it, but CTYI meant so much to me,and last year,my first year I was given the labcoat because I was considered to be the newbie that most embodied the spirit of CTYI. I’ve talked about that enough in my two speeches but what I really wanted to convey is just what it did for me. I didn’t say this in my speeches, I think it was mostly due to nerves and thinking on the spot, but before I came to CTYI I was basically mute. I didn’t talk to my friends much if ever, and I wasn’t in a good place. I didn’t expect CTYI to be what it was, it is and that year, those three weeks changed me. I was more confident, even going back into school. I started talking more and being extroverted and it was amazing. I’m so much happier now and I know that it’s because of CTYI. I know that if I hadn’t done it I would maybe still be in a better place but not as good of a place. It made me realise how nice it is to be with people, and how nice it is to just talk! There’s really nothing more I can say except thank you. Thank you to everyone I met, to everyone who helped me. To everyone who goes there, and to everyone who makes it the amazing place that it is. Thank you.
