Hi I’m here to gush about another member of pentagon again. Today, I reckon I’m going to talk about the love Kang Hyunggu. Kino’s demeanour is like the cute younger brother I always dreamt of having but never had. Like I’d literally spend my entire paycheck on him if he asked.
I love how he has grown up so much from their debut days. It’s kinda surreal watching him lose his baby fats. I also love that Kino is not afraid to be whoever he wants to be and dress up in whatever androgynous fashion he wants to.
I remember him mentioning in the ptg podcast that he knows there’s a lot of people out there who cannot accept androgyny, but it doesn’t mean he should stop being himself. He is so mature for a 98-er I don’t even know what to say.
Hui once mention that the way Kino moves is just different (aka when he dances) and I truly agree with him. There’s just something about his movements that cannot be replicated? And I’m so glad they decided this little boy with the cute twinkly eye smile should be the center of ptg.
I love that Kino loves art and books and pearls. Like he can probably be my best friend if he were a regular person. Hell. I’d probably have the biggest crush on him. I’ve always been curious about Kino’s sexuality; not that it matters, because I’d love him anyway. I’m just curious. I always figured he’s probably gay? And then I saw the way he looked at weki meki’s yoojung on unboxing. And dayum, there’s not a lot of things im good at, but one thing I know I am, is spotting a crush. Maybe it’s just admiration for her work, idk. But I feel like kino might have a little school boy crush on yoojung. Which is adorable, because they’re both like puppies. So pardon my evidence based thesis, as it has been awhile since I saw that episode, but I believe it was because of how he kept trying to form a link with yoojung, like how he tried so hard to explain how IOI and ptg modelled together for a school uniform brand and how he’d always ask for yoojung’s opinion. Like I thought jinjin would naturally be the one to ‘look out’ for yoojung since they’re from the same company. But there’s no need for that, when there’s oppa hyunggu ;)
Another thing I’m reminded of of Kino is when he was driving Shinwon and Hui for their Just Do It Yo! Vlog. Damn, I never knew somebody could look this good driving? Like I don’t see myself drop dead for any random person driving, but kang hyunggu. Oh my. Oh oh, also, I love how he’s down for any of the scary sports/rides. While his hyungs were terrified for their lives and undoubtedly makes better tv, hyunggu just freaking does his own thing. Be it bungee jumping twice in a row or going paragliding.
His duality is honestly so intriguing. You feel like you know Kino, then bam and there’s more to him that you didn’t know was there. Lastly, kino’s laughter. I’ll make that dear boy laugh all day even if it means the end of me. His hearty genuinely laughter. Awwww. And he laughs so easily. Like he’s genuinely so so tickled by his hyungs.
Oh Kang Hyunggu. You’re such a biased wrecker. This noona is confused.
