PLT Election Result

The 2011-2012 PLT officers decided to give next year's officers a head start in planning for next year's residence hall events. Elections were held on Tuesday, April 17 with Daniel Kim and Megan Mcconnell running for the position of president and Makeva Dawkins running for the position of pastor. A big congratulations to the elected.

Dodgeball Tournament: 04/05/12

16 teams of 8 people gathered on April 5, 2012 at 7:30 PM. Excitement ran high; the competition in everyone began to rear its head. 16 teams with 16 different names: Sparkle Motion, Black N Yellow, Geeks N Sneaks, Sharks, Ultimate Warriors, Daisy Dukes, Victor's Secret, The Crayola's, Maple Hall Prodigies, Haynal's Hamburgers, End of Line, TMNT, The Red Shirts, The Rough Riders, The Stereotypes, Rice Patties, and The Old Folks. Everyone had a purpose: to win the ultimate grand prize. Although there were some discrepancies with the rules and regulations, I believe everyone had a great time. Roughly around 200 people came out, which is not a bad number at all, around 40% of the student population. The number of team began to decrease as teams advanced towards the championships. Excitement running high and anticipation getting the best of many, 3 hours filled with cheer and shouts passed by. In the end, the championship game of best 2 out of 3 was between Victor's Secret and Daisy Dukes. Daisy Dukes came out on top with their short shorts and long legs. MVP was given to Daniel Kim and Cara while the best dressed team was awarded to Geeks N Sneaks. It was a great time and hopefully this will turn out to be an annual event. :)

A big shout out to Courtney Fleurantin and his team over at the intramurals department. It was a great opportunity to collaborate on this event. :)
