Crush started as a Berliner Weisse called German Sparkle Party brewed by Tonya Cornett at 10 Barrel in Bend. Tonya is a master of sour. That tart base is a perfect vehicle for all sorts of fruit, raspberries, cherries, cucumber.
Yeah. I said cucumber. It’s so refreshing. So tasty. If you ever wanted to drink beer that tastes like a spa, this is the one. The cucumber has a ripe, crisp flavor balanced with just enough lemony acidity.
Just to be clear, 10 Barrel was sold to A-B InBev last year. But who cares about ownership? If 10 Barrel keeps making cucumber Crush, the company can be jointly owned by Donald Trump and Satan and I’d still drink it.
