Last Christmas my daughter asked for snow (enter wide eyed expression here). We live in Texas. Her favorite movie is frozen. I don’t know Elsa. But there was one saving…

Hair Appliances
I know I haven’t been around much as of late so welcome back me :D
I’m currently in the market for a new blow dryer and quite frankly I am not impressed with most reviews on them. A lot of the reviewers do not have my hair texture nor state what their texture is in their review. A blow dryer isn’t going to have the same result or drying time on hair that is say fine, wavy and slightly damaged than it will on hair that is dense, tightly coiled and has a low porosity.
The hair appliance sector of the hair care market forgets that some of the people who buy isn’t the average white girl. I’m frustrated with a lack of quality reviews from real people like myself that bare similar textures to my own. We spend just as much time if not more time on our hair than any other ethnic group, yet products marketed to us is normally in a dingy part of a store in a small half isle labeled “ethnic beauty.”
As usual, I’ll be wasting money and or spending far too much time online reading reviews from people who don’t have my texture. There really needs to be a larger market of appliances that is marketed to us that fits all budgets.
Layering Love
Summer is here and it seems like love is everywhere. How fun is that! I wanted to capture some of that carefree spirit that summer can bring and had a fun time giving it a try. I must admit, I have been enjoying my water coloring quite a bit, but it is still my favorite medium right now. I thought I might use a die cut on this image and layer it, but I forgot about that until I started typing.…

Country Livin’
There is something so calm about a nice long water coloring session. When I found myself needing a break from putting away yet more wedding reception decorations I looked for this stamp set. When I saw these boots. I knew I would love creating with it. I was right. I honestly stamped just the boots in the lower right hand corner of the water color paper and started to layer color and distress…
