💫 Hi I'm Q and my studyblr is cuestudies. I'm also a fan of like marvel comics although I have a series love for a few DC characters and such. I'm really excited to see the new Spider-Man movies and also like Black Panther (even though that's like 8 months away).
hey, Q! (side note: reminds me of quinn from showtime’s homeland.. they really messed up his storyline.. anyway.. on to the blog rate ^.^) i hope you’re having a great summer! always happy to meet another marvel fan - i just love the relationships between the cast (anthony mackie + sebastian stan’s friendhhip - o h m y g o d. the chris trio, robert downey jr, any cast interviews. the way that movie / cinematic relationships can translate into long-lasting connections are so beautiful.) i’m a total marvel dork - i got hooked around 2010 - 2012 and have been completely obsessed ever since. i haven’t checked out the comics though - i should, considering that it’s the fundamental source material for many of the movies. i could talk about the movies all day - i l o v e t h e m ! i watch the interviews / cast videos a lot more than a normal human being. they always cheer me up. yes, DC has some truly great tv series - my absolute favorite is gotham, it became so addicting after the very first episode i watched (do you have any recommendations?) wonder woman (the dark knight was very good, i loved it too.) was amazing, and i think it minimized the damage that suicide squad (i liked margo robbie though) and batman + superman: the dawn of something did to the DC’s standing in the cinematic universe. (in my opinion). YES I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THOSE MOVIES. So You Want To Start A Studyblr - Part One
Introduction to Studyblr/How To Start a Studyblr:
Hello! These series of masterposts/advice posts are made by @productrvity and @lupastudies! It would be appreciated if you guys gave us a follow!
icons / descriptions / urls
Urls should be study related in some way - some examples are @productrvity and @lupastudies
You could always use inspiration from stationery or parts of the studyblr aesthetic (kankens, leuchtturms, moleskines, etc)
Some alternatives to that are using your name (or a pseudonym if you’re not comfortable putting your name out!) + studies or a play on words (example: productrvity)
Icons
You could use your url name in a fancy font (canva has an easy graphic design program with great fonts and easy ways to create an iconic profile picture)
There are many studyblrs that create icons that you can use, as long as you credit them in your bio.
@nerdastically has good starting icons - here // make sure to credit them!
Descriptions
A good easy description might be the year you might be graduating, name, and a short description of what your studyblr contains (example: mine might be studyblr, original posts + playlists)
Other popular things that can be included in your description: your Harry Potter Hogwarts house, your MBTI personality, and your zodiac sign (ex. @lupastudies would have Pisces, INTJ, Ravenclaw)
Finally posting!
There are many ways to start posting - you could just straight up follow a couple of studyblrs and reblog posts!
Some iconic blogs to follow are @studylustre, @emmastudies, @studyign @studywithinspo @studyquill @boystudy and a lot more! (check out your tumblr follows)
You could also make an intro post, a basic introduction that talks about some studyblrs that inspired you, topics that you’re studying, grade you’re in, and interests.
After you finished on introducing yourself to the community, you can reblog other people’s posts or you could create original posts!
Original Posts
If you decide to create original posts, you should try and create a “brand” if you want to emerge in the studying community.
Some examples of this are kaisdesk (Iconic printed headers), emmastudies (printables!! Incredibly helpful), and thearialligraphyproject’s desktop wallpapers!
You also should tag your posts with /studyblr and things like that to get some more exposure!
Post ideas can be anything academic-related — such as a weekly or monthly spread in your bullet journal, notes, planners, journals, stationery, etc.!
Blog Themes
You should keep your themes clean and easy to use - people will want to see your themes!
You could use tumblr.com/themes, but I do have some theme recommendations
Olle Ota themes ( @olleotathemes )
zen themes ( @zen-themes )
sorrismthemes ( @sorrism )
all of these theme creators have beautiful themes and you should really check out their work/give them a follow!
You should create a tagging system - people should be able to access your posts!
I would suggest tagging all your original posts with /mine or /(yoururl) and then use a direct link(url) so that you can link on your blog - /tagged/mine or /tagged/(yoururl)
General tips:
Make a studyblr to actually help you find motivation and help you with studying in real life. Reblogging posts of pretty notes and bullet journal spreads won’t help you be productive!
Don’t focus on the numbers that much, this community is here to help you be more productive and find a support system.
Find a support system - friends in this community that will help you be productive!
Start a bullet journal! You’ll have a more organized system to help you out!
