F'n Cooking Olympics: IKA
It's F'n Olympics Time!
While the athletic Olympians are competing in British courts and stadiums, the culinary Olympians will be competing in German Kitchens at the IKA.
The International Exhibition of Culinary Art/Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung(IKA) is the largest culinary competition in the world. The competition began in German in 1884 and is held every four years.
In the 2008 games, Norway came in first place. Germany and Switzerland came in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
This year, the October 2012 IKA will take place in Erfurt, Germany. Over 50 nations and over 1000 chefs are expected to participate in the Global Event. While the Norwegians are expected to win again, expect the competition to be fierce. We can't wait to watch.
Let the F'n games begin!
