DA kiss week : #6 Battlefield

The late finished doodle for @dragonagekissweek #6 (a bit funny that my WIP was reblogged today ahaha) !! After the final fight against Corypheus.

Cullen is not covered in blood because they were mostly fighting demons, and i... don't think they bleed ? It's mainly Aodren's* and other hurt soldiers blood. Forgot to add some dirt, now that i think about it, but i wanted to do something quick to experiment with a new style ☺

Ennera is, however, because she was hurt during the dragons + Cory fight. Also she has a concussion because the flying rocks were............ not flying anymore after she sealed the Breach. Also the explosion, etc etc. There's a bit more action at the end of the fight in my canon because, what do you mean they don't even look HURT ? not on my watch

This scene takes place right after Solas went to talk with Ennera, when she finally manages to emerge from the ruins and Cullen goes to her. She's still a bit confused and not aware of the... damages.

(*yeah Aodren is between life and death offscreen, sorryyyyy)

Tagged as always by @sugar-peanut-cat ! Here some late WIPs for the @dragonagekissweek #6 Battlefield, featuring Aodren (rogue non Inquisitor Lavellan) & Dorian, and Ennera (mage Inquisitor Lavellan) & Cullen.

(i didn't remember how to draw the rogue Inquisition armor soooo well, later)(+ she's suffering a concussion, if you want to know)

Wanted to make a contribution, however small :)

Ennera looks up at him ; his shifty expression strucks her even more with the weak glow of the candles. The touch between their hands brutally stops when he steps back and makes the stool grate on the floor, then he grips on its edge. The flames makes doubt dance on his face like shadows.

Ennera relève les yeux vers lui ; à la lueur faible des bougies, son air fuyant la frappe plus encore. Le contact entre leurs mains s'interrompt brutalement alors qu'il recule et fait grincer le tabouret au sol, s'accrochant à son rebord. Les flammes font danser l'hésitation comme des ombres sur son visage.

Working on a little something with Cullen and my Lavellan, post-Trespasser, to appease myself during work break. They are building a house in the countryside and Cullen.... is not really letting her carry things, you know. At one point there is this interaction :

Especially since they are ambitious and Ennera's eight months pregnant belly is not preventing her from wanting to participate in the extension of the annex. "Cullen, I am pregnant, not disabled", she hisses. Her spouse then slowly drops his gaze to her amputated arm, to which she responds : "Oh, shush. Leave me alone." Before taking her mage staff, still willing to feel useful.

I love her so much, she's such a little goblin. Cullen couldn't even form words in his mind, it's too dangerous. Also he's maybe too stunned to speak

For context : she's not accepting her arm loss yet, and also she's going mad sitting still with her swollen ankles while her friends and husband are building their house. The extension is to (later) receive injured people, especially ex templars to help them with lyrium withdrawal, as it is really important for Cullen. Yeah, they are basically building an hospital. The thing is Ennera is one of the worst healer on their team during DA:I because she...... can't focus lmao, but she's a great herborist. She'll work on itttt

WIP ctrl+F game

I've been tagged by @sugar-peanut-cat (or sort of lol) who gave the words 'fight', 'smile' and 'later'.

This features my HoF-Rook, Kallian, who romances Davrin later in this WIP (it was meant to be smut... but they first are drinking with Lucanis and they started to kiss at 12k words so yeah it is clearly not smut at all lmao).

Fight(ing) : (in french it works, okay !! Yes she's talking about our boys Lucanis and Davrin.)

FR : Elle n’en pouvait juste plus de les voir se sauter à la gorge à la moindre mention de Weisshaupt. S’ils en restent à comparer leurs techniques de combat et qui a le tranchant le plus aiguisé, maintenant, ça lui convient bien aussi. rough EN translation : She couldn't take seeing them at each other's throat at the slightest mention of Weisshaupt anymore. If they only compare their fighting techniques or whoever has the sharpest edge, now, it's fine by her.

Smile :

FR : Davrin se retourne à demi vers elle, le bras opposé sur le dossier du canapé. Son sourire s’étire, large et chaud, tandis que Lucanis se redresse légèrement et lui en renvoie un lui aussi, tranquille. rough EN translation : Davrin turns half back to her, opposite arm on the back of the sofa. His smile widens, wide and warm, while Lucanis sits up straighter and gives one back to her, quiet.

Later :

FR : (dialogue) "[...]Je comprenais pas ce que j’étais censée leur dire, j’ai pas eu de formation express sur comment être une bonne petite noble. Mais heureusement, à peine deux jours plus tard, j’ai pu faire la connaissance d’une future recrue tout à fait apte à gérer ce genre de doléances à ma place.[...]" rough EN translation : (dialogue) "[…] I couldn't understand what they expected me to say, i didn't have a rushed training on how to be a good little noblewoman. Fortunately, barely two days later, I had the chance to meet a future recruit quite able to manage this kind of grievances instead of me.[…]"

And this one is my longfic (~14 chapters, 80k words, and i'm only in act 1/9 😳.........................) focused on my Inquisitor Ennera Lavellan and her dear Commander Cullen.

They don't even understand when they are flirting lmao. I'm basically rewriting my DA:I canon and develop their relationship with one another + their friends. It's almost a slice of life at this point lmao. The chapter is in Cullen's POV : first they train ; then they have a chat on the walls at night, in Skyhold.

Fight : (They are training i SWEAR)

FR : L’ironie de la situation le frappe lorsqu’il prend conscience de leurs respirations erratiques et du regard qu’elle lui lance en se débattant, mi-agacée, mi-hilare. Puis, comme il la fixe, elle le fixe aussi, sans qu’il ne lâche ses poignets ; ce n’est pas très long, mais au milieu d’un combat, toute action qui dure plus d’une ou deux secondes paraît aisément en durer vingt. rough EN translation : The irony hits him when he becomes aware of their erratic breaths and the look she gives him as she struggles, half flustered, half laughing. Then, as he stares at her, she stares back, and he does not let go of her wrists ; it is not that long, but in the middle of a fight, any move longer than one or two second easily seems to last twenty.

Smile :

FR : (dialogue) —Très bien, très bien. Je. Je viendrai frapper à votre porte. Et j’irai vous chercher pour le dîner, puisque vous oubliez toujours de manger. —Je n’oublie pas de- L’Inquisitrice lui renvoie ce sourire joyeux et mutin qui le fascine. —Merci, complète-t-il plutôt, la voix chaude de tendresse. rough EN translation : (dialogue) "Alright, alright. I. I'll knock at your door. And I'll come pick you up for dinner, as you always forget to eat." "I don't forget to-..." The Inquisitor gives him again this joyful and mischevious smile which fascinates him. "Thanks," he concludes instead, voice warm with tenderness.

(They swear they are not in love.)

And the only "later" ones i have are something along the lines of "They'll head back to the training ground later.", so not really interesting to share even in context.
