Huh sure has been a bit since I picked the game but with the update coming soon figured I’d get back to managing the herd and drawing the members! So here’s Destino and Felix from @ask-the-royal-absol ! Backstory under the cut ;3

These two are originally from a small village hidden deep in the cave systems of the mountain in the land of the old faith. Destino’s family lead the small village as the his from the bishops and their cultists. Unfortunately they were found and flushed out from their home by the bishops followers. Separated Destino and Felix were both forced to wander the wilds in search of safety and their people.

Destino was the first found, discovered by one of Cherry’s followers who then took it upon themselves to bring the unwilling, former prime to the cult. Cherry, ever accepting of new followers agreed to let them join. But Destino did not want that and was thus brought into the cult as a dissenter. As if they would ever bow to another!

But with time and some gentle reducation Destino eventually learned to accept their new home and station within the cult. Eventually they would ask Cherry to find their friend Felix.

Cherry, accepting the quest would go out to rescue Felix from the members of the old faith who were attempting to sacrifice him to the bishops. Felix would join, thankful for the save and happy to be reunited with his friend.

cult info below cut b/c i'm gonna be typing a lot;

Everyone listed here are basically the main runners/cast when it comes to plot relevance in the story in itself. there are plenty of cast & characters that aren't- but they wont pop up for anything other than background characters perhaps staring on in horror at god antics or one another's antics.

we'll start from the top;

GALLOWS [ girlyed cheese ]

the most recent member of the cult to be saved specifically by the lamb themself from sacrifice within Darkwood.

a lot of cult conflict will begin with the uninitiated, the unknowing. and the influence of the twin gods will be seen on her in real time as the story progresses.

she is generally a very generic playful-but-tricky fox character, but there's a lot she hides; much like the rest of the cult members. her past is not happily talked about, or seldom is.

she was a native to Darkwood. She is chaotic because of it.

she was meant to be burned at the stake.

EKPYROSIS [ asbestos ]

This word derives from a Greek word for a great fire. It represents a belief held by some scholars of Stoicism, that says that the universe has no beginning or end, and instead is destroyed and remade in a great conflagration in a cyclic manner. Just as life & death ever are.

Her name stands out among the rest of the cult because it was the name that the Lamb bestowed upon her upon being given the title of disciple. Just as Narinder took Baal & Aym to learn from him, the Lamb took her.

Her previous name is not known to anyone mind the Lamb themself, Narinder, and cheese parm.

She is more inclined to using and being influenced by the eldritch artifacts & relics the Lamb or Narinder tend to return with.

She leaves an uneasy and terrible 'uncanny valley' feeling tenfold within her vicinity, which makes her hard to be around. It is not just being outright creepy- but it's a lot more akin to literally feeling reality dip and bow around you into something not quite right.

She does not move like a normal person. The way she walks, runs, jumps- it's all too impossible to replicate without someone shattering every bone in their body.

When she speaks, her voice is delayed from her mouth. And it doesn't always line up perfectly.

most notably; cheese parm hates her. for good reason.

OTHERA [ bong water ]

An average cult member on the surface. They are a caretaker, they are matronly, they work as the local therapist. Generally just likes taking care of people.

When the Lamb, Disciples, & Narinder aren't around to listen to confessionals in the booth they are typically who does.

It's an unspoken rule to not make them angry or let them get to '1' when they start counting down from 5.

He is typically known for the reason morale is good. A good shoulder to rely on.

He is the third oldest member of the cult, resurrected multiple times over to serve his purpose, next to cheese parm & his sister. they are also the only one that asbestos seems to actively fear besides cheese parm.

EUNOMIA [ they/theminem ]

Eunomia was a minor goddess of law and legislation, whose name means "Good Laws", and is specifically a goddess of order according to good governance.

The second disciple. Known for learning the use of the Lamb's personally created curses specifically, though does know the ones Narinder passed on. They do not deem themselves worthy enough to use those.

Generally a very angry & spiteful person for a multitude of reasons. It mostly comes down to 'bearer of the curse' and the curse being knowledge.

They are the only one really permitted to 'backtalk' due to how much they actually do know their place.

they are very heavily disciplined under the rule of self-flagellation, and know the tenants and rites better than anyone else in the cult. even the head ritualist.

as said on paper. cheese parm's s/o. the significantly scarier one. they have not had a reason to be scary in a good couple hundred years! don't make them start now.

has 2 adopted kids w/ cheese parm they raise.

PANKRATIAST [ cheese parm ]

The Pankration is a sport of unarmed combat that featured in the ancient Olympic Games in Greece. This specific association fits as he's specifically an unarmed fighter first and foremost.

While not a disciple, is considered one generally in 'importance' to the higher ups of the cult. While he is no more important than Gallows, Othera, Minced Meat, or any other average member- he has the veteran's respect.

Was given a name by the Lamb, and since he does not speak, it's not like he can correct anyone otherwise.

well. doesn't talk. only ever communicates in vague grunts and noises that voice displeasure or a neutral 'ok'

Generally considered stoic, he does not feel strongly about most things.

The village executioner. The head missionary. Bartender. Does all the jobs no one else wants to do, and even others when no one else does it.

Smells of gore & wet dog constantly.

Knows. Remembers. Knows why death is broken, knows how it broke, will not tell Lamb or Narinder. He is a Witness.

Knows all the weaponry the Lamb uses & can use it just as effectively on a physical level.

The first of the flock. Will be there even when there is no more flock to have. As it will ever be, pinkie promised back in the Silk Cradle back where he was first found.

ILONA [ taco bell qsdea ]

a specialist in alchemy, cooking, & plants. Tends to the farms, gardens, & warding stones.

The first of the cult members Narinder warmed up to directly after descension. They brought him food every day, they gave him supplies, and other than the Lamb- they were the first to not be terrified of him.

They are very blind and often need a guide when they are not allowed to use their clicks and noises to find the way.

They are immune to Gallows' tricks and run off of the 'fae logic' of most things.

Their name means 'joy'. A name they decided on after speaking to Narinder for a time.

The first cult members recruited directly after Narinder's descension.

Immune to the horrors Somehow. There is something hiding behind those big ol eyes

Can fly. They have wings attached to their arms, and for it, require special clothes.

will be involved a lot in narinder plots

MINCED MEAT [ childbirth gambino ]

head cook but kind of as a threat. the lamb put them there for a reason. they are pretty mid.

constantly paranoid and in a state of fear or unease. Does not sleep because of it, and instead compulsively cooks almost all day and night.

most random screeches or noises in the cult come from this little guy

absolutely scared shitless of the Lamb.

The first Dissenter since the Lamb's ascension. They were made an example of. Now they will never. They have seen god's wrath, and would rather die.

narinder likes to bully this thing by hissing at him in the night

ALOPE [ deep dish pizza ]

cheese parm's little sister. and borderline clone. she copies everything he's done up until adulthood when she started to become her own person. though it's been hundreds, if not thousands of years, she's still trying to figure out who she is.

made a pinkie promise to the lamb, just like cheese parm, to always be there. and she has!

ripped as fuck. like, more than cheese parm. huge. absolute beast thing.

the lamb prevented a fated death in her, the first time he ever did so, and for it her title is technically 'Saint Alope' within the cult for being the act of a miracle.

like her brother, never speaks vocally, never shows her face. gets across feelings through vague grunts. uses sign language where cheese parm does not.

the fastest in the cult. rivals narinder in base speed without using necklaces or unnatural abilities.

uses two ritual dirks or daggers at any given point, throwing knives, things of that sort. protects the village next to cheese parm, and you'll never hear her coming. totally, absolutely silent.

The Dahrijus cult -- The story behind the cult behind Darius Valentis.

Questions answered:

Why is it named after Dahrijus? What is the meaning after Dahrijus? What exact event lead to the development of this cult?

What main events are done within the very cult? How much involvement does the cult leader have? Who are the main leaders behind this?

Why is it named after Dahrijus? What is the meaning after Dahrijus? It is in reference to the name of the deity that was behind human sexuality, one that perfectly resembles in appearance to the Darius we are all familiar with. Coincidentally enough, Darius’s original name is exactly that. He changed it when he was able to do so legally due to difficulty writing it and simply wanting to go for a simplistic version of his documented name. What exact event lead to the development of this cult? Darius was approached by the elders -- founders of the the very cult during his teens. The group itself dedicated their time to find a man to be carrying the exact name and the search wasn’t a long process. They had some ability to access a particular piece of a database and gathered enough information to locate individuals exactly named Dahrijus. With few names in records, they took few years in research for the exact person they were seeking for. While doubtful at first to find Darius, one elder did recognize the structure of his face while comparing to one of the paintings depicting the deity as a younger man. There was no need to pressure the teenager into leading this cult with the assistance of the founders -- As the young man, as though fated to remain in a terrible position within his life, did seek for comfort within a group that focused on him in the perception of a deity. What madman wouldn’t be seduced by the offer to be treated at a high pedestal when you were always treated like the misery of your father? While few years of learning and managing the cult altogether there was a high increase of a God complex, that eventually faded once his daughter was born through a ceremony in the very same cult. The ceremony was simply a sexual intercourse between two older teenagers, in the hopes to conceive a deity child so the family of deities could continue. Although to their failure, the child simply became a regular wolf girl and carried no signs of potentially being a deity. This left the organization puzzled but their dedication towards Darius remained ever since. Assisting with parenting the girl for a time until their leader chose to disconnect his own daughter from these grounds and provide her a normal life. With these two mains events in mind, It sealed the family of Dahrijus and were motivated to find more followers to believe in him. In the hopes to be provided with pleasures within their body, life in the afterlife. What main events are done within the very cult?

There are three layers behind the activities of this community. First and second layers are the ones more familiar with the majority of the members, meanwhile the third one is more familiar with the founders and the leader. It’s UNKNOWN what occurs in the third layers activities, within the deepest ends of the dungeon that was built underground of the mansion owned by the sect. The first layer pact rumor the possibility that their leader had a brief period were he may have possibly consumed people under the skin of a snake demon. They theorize the fact that It may have been a particular ceremony that was supposed to be performed within the scripts ( the same scripts that allowed Darius to develop the ability to form into a snake demon ) in the hopes to achieve the desired level of a deity. The first layer of the group are behind finding potential followers through a variety of means that are more secretive and subtle, as well as managing funds, healthcare towards all groups of the cult. The second layer, also named as the ‘ pleasure haven ‘ -- Are the smaller, yet better known group that are behind sexual inter-courses performed in the mansion. Considering the fact that the cult originates from believing after the deity that provides sexual pleasures, It’s no surprise that they have introduced the idea of such activities in the hopes to please their deity-leader. While originally Darius was flustered with the idea, eventually he was seduced with the idea and was fed with appraisal of his frame to participate in these done events. In current time he has little participation, but with enough convincing he will fall into the arms of the one that encouraged him to misbehave with them. With that in mind, It’s not a process done only with the leader -- Other cult members are free to engage in these activities with one another. No layer of sects are excluded from this opportunity. Who are the main leaders behind this? Darius, as we all know -- Is the leader that was given such title once he was found and brought into the grounds of his second ‘ home ‘.

' Medusa ' -- A given name by the other members, to reference to the mythology. She seemed to have stunned the cultist leader with her beauty. Always seen in bright red lipstick and dyed electric, blue hair. Her eyes carry very little glimmer in her eyes, yet seems as though she is the one that cheers up the temperaments of other members ...

' Member 2 ' -- Does not define himself with a name for unknown reason. A man in his early fifties, with gruff hands due to experience as a wood sculptor. Carries a heavy Scandinavian accent.

' Right man hand '-- A self-proclaimed title given by the man himself, finding himself as the only purposeful founder of the sect. The one behind finding Darius himself, a man who now falls into the age range of 70 to 75 years in age. Carries a golden ring at his index finger of the left hand, a small ouroboros tattoo at his right hand. In addition to all of this: Jay Erblindet, a friend of Darius Valentis and the adoptive father of Seiko Valentis -- Has even paid visit to the mansion were the sect runs and have seen the majority of the layers and how they perform their activities. While offers to engage in the second layer activities were tempting, he chose not to. He’s simply aware of it and leaves Darius be with it. He is aware It is not a healthy approach to have the leader reconsider dismantling something they have built when they grew attachment towards a community. There is a possibility the leader himself would drop contact when his built ‘ family ‘ would be in danger in some way. Kei Ueda-Ryuujin is the mother of Kyoko Ryuujin. She is a first and second layer member, gifted the opportunity to be in either layers due to her frame and ability to manage funding or provide suggestions when needing improvements for teachings. There is a probability that Kei has fallen in love with Darius ever since coincidentally participating in the beginning stage of the cult and chose to devout herself to the religion in the hopes to get closer with the main individual behind all of this. Ren Valentis -- Is the daughter of Darius Valentis. A preadolescent girl who carries the similar genes of her uncle -- The genes of a wolf demon, carrying the exact shade and tone of canine ears and a tail. She was conceived when Darius was in between being 15-16 years in age. The early, few months she was raised by the hands of the elders along with her father, but eventually Darius chose to raise her in a normal living situation. She has no recollection nor remote idea of cult happenings by her father, although she recognizes the scents of the founders; due to few visits in the past. The mother -- No longer affiliated with the cult and has her own life, although still chose to co-parent with the father in the means to help her past partner and improve the development of her own daughter. She is an East asian woman with a darker complexion. She lives in Fukui, Japan. Not much else is known about her.

Player 2 approaches!

Dolly is the goat to Cherry’s lamb! A goat from an alternate universe parallel to this one. In Dolly’s world goats were the subject of the prophecy instead of lambs leaving her to be the last of her kind. As a child she was adopted by a family of lambs and she grew up happily. She often curls her fur to resemble wool like her mom and siblings and loves to dye it fun colors. She is shumora’s champion in her world.

One day while peering into a strange lake on one of her travels she found something strange in her reflections. It was a lamb! Both reached towards the water and when Dolly touched the surface she fell in. Upon emerging she found herself now in Cherry’s world. The two quickly became close friends and declared each other cousies. Now Dolly hops between her own home and Cherry’s to visit and help her friend!

I'm def curious about how you'd write backstories for mis bebes! All I can guess is that they were probably trying to save people together.

Kenina used to live near the lighthouse. She often watched as the local lighthouse keepers and other residents would help pilgrims make their way across the lands. She wished to join them and help but due to anxieties never made the move. One day however she found someone washed up on the beach.

Angel has very few memories of their life before they washed up and met Kenina. In their dreams they see a dark future, the lands raised and destroyed by the warring of gods. The dreams often end when they and a blurred figure make contact with a strange godly relic. Occasionally touching a godly item will give them strange visions or the past or future.

Kenina helps the amnesiac Angel and offers her home to them, the two quickly become friends. Together Kenina has the confidence now to join the others helping the pilgrims and finally make her dreams to travel come true. The two begin to travel the lands looking for treasures and helping any people they find. It’s on one of these trips that they run into Cherry who was rescuing another.

Tired from their traveling the two accept her offer of a new safe home and move in. They often go on missionary quests together to gather supplies to save new followers for the cult.
