I Became a God in a Horror Game and Cultivation Nerd should crossover and have Liu and Liu become besties
if i had a nickel for everytime Liu was a pragmatic scientific method boy, i'd have two nickels, which isn't much but its weird how it happened twice
maybe its my jaymaniacpilled brain but this one wins
spoilers for cultivation nerd
reading cultivation nerd really makes you think about the sheer cosmic horror of how "XYZ Group Defies The Heavens!!" and then the protagonist aka a member of the XYZ group will literally be chosen by the heavens and holy fuck
Like your existence is dedicated to a craft that breaks the laws implemented by a group who pave your way to success in it, a game, a fate truly rigged from the start
Cultivation Nerd's reader discussion of worldly age on the 158th and 159th page got gears in my mind churning . . .
in most media I've read at the very least, there's a long lasting history, precedent
Typically there's clear cut status quo, and some status quos are the cliche; This is the Royal Family, these are the religions big and cult, these are the social expectations, these are the taboos, etc.
I don't read much Xianxia so I'm relying on osmosis, but theres this proposition of the idea that unlike other isekai where for millenia the specifics or at least brushstrokes of what the Good Practices, Bad Practices, and etc is long set up before the protagonist gets here
Typically the Protagonist comes in and shatter expectations and precedents, and while this isekai nerd will still doubtlessy shatter expectation, this world still be mallelable and in wait of long settled culture in some spaces makes room for him to get the worm
an isekai where instead of breaking the status quo the isekai'd sets one up--is the one laying down the foundations for long standing expectations and precedents, because this world is so young . . .
i think thats interesting, an idea to share for others, even if it's not true in the web novel in question
HolyMouse is literally ahead of the timeline itself posting a minute ahead of the time my clock says it is (lighthearted joking)
