He looks up and tilts his head. What had brought that on? … No, seriously. What was this about? He glances up from his coffee with a grunt. Priest looks run down. Haggard, even. In the words of his brother, ‘boy looks like hot shit’. He turns his gaze back to his coffee and takes another sip. It’s warm, bitter. He can’t say that it tastes good, but he can’t say that it tastes bad, either. He’s had worse. After a moment, he decides to take pity on Priest. He stands, pulls a mug from the cupboard, and pours a second cup of coffee. He sets the mug down and returns to his chair before he speaks. 

“Let me guess.” He says, nodding his head once before looking up at Priest. “Judgement Day?”

It was the annual new year's party and many of the superstars chose to attend. Many were mingling and chatting and partying until the countdown of the ball dropping and the Judgment Day was...isolated in their own exclusive section. Nattie took a keen note of that and when it was time... she would make her move.

11:59. This was it. All or nothing. She sought out to find her target, her person of interest if you will. In her mind she's never moved this fast. Her surroundings and any people she passed coming off a blur until she arrived at her destination. "Damian..." The call of his name rose the ire of his friends, along with him. Using her strength Nattie pulled the taller man to his feet before taking his face into her smaller hands, bringing him down to her level with a kiss. It was defiantly affectionate for all the right reasons.Dom was scowling with disgust but was smart enough to keep his mouth shot, Finn shocked and as Rhea was concerned... she simply smirked. By the time the blonde woman pulled away a brand new year and a new day has dawned upon them and everybody else.

"Happy New Year, Señor. Tell Dom not to stop looking at me like that otherwise I'll start off this year with my fist next. Text or see me later?"

the smoke settles, the buzz dies, and roman stands at an impasse. that tall, unfortunate place with a view muddied by a now uncertain future. uncertain for the route he wants to take to an outcome that should be guaranteed. should be ; but isn't. can't shift into the light without turning his stomach. making the ache between his shoulder blades more obvious. more pronounced. to a point where this feels unwise. the strides that bring him to an unmarked room. the last place a nosy eyed technician had seen him.

damian isn't a hard man to find. he keeps to shadows but the shadows never change. a constant roman skirted, once. shined a light into for want not to squint. it's funny how he's adjusted. doesn't so much as lower his head when the threshold is passed and the electricity of a boiling temper swallows him in the quiet of the room. not the hot rage roman breeds, something cold.. numbing

" thought you had it for a minute there, " it isn't goading. months have passed since the last time roman threw pot - shots his way. kicked him while he was down. this tone is passive. it's a slow stride around the furniture he doesn't sit in, dim lighting catching off the gold strapped 'round his waist. She wants him, he wants her... so exactly what stood in their way and what were they so afraid of? The answer was themselves. Also known as the "forbidden fruit", each other's guilty pleasure --- pun intended. Taking note of her own accountability, yes, Nattie was hesitant to go all in because of her past, such an overused excuse. On the other hand Damian was so him and he could honestly have anyone he desired... so why her? Perhaps all it took was one moment to solidify what they were or... what they could be?

"Where are we going?" A smirk on the end of his face formed followed by a gruff yet confident "You'll see". With that he took his hand into her smaller manicured one, fingers intertwined and just like that the woman felt a spark. Though Nattie enjoyed the finer things in life she valued the simple, tangible actions a lot more in which she firmly squeezed as if she would run away with him and never look back.
