Omg, he better be trolling, lol.  He is trolling HARD. xD  After the bit about starting with a knowledge base next to zero when portraying a character, I'm pretty sure he must be trolling because that does not sound like him and his usual acting methodology at ALL, haha.  Touche, Cumberbatch.

I figured it was best to just, you know, like a lot of acting, you start from a knowledge basis of zero in order to have every experience that you're portraying again and again and again feel like fresh presence, so I purposely made no attempt to learn anything about anything I could be part of other than watching the first film.

I have to admit, he had me for awhile, but this bit just sounds SO out of character for him, given what I know his usual acting methodology to be, so I was like, "You're trolling, aren't you Cumbertroll? ¬_¬" lol.

I am not sure how Benedict's mind works.

He doesn't show up at premieres he is invited to. Maybe he will show up at premieres he isn't invited to.
