Valentine's Day + Latam Carnaval
Shadamy Cumbia!
I wanted to do something for Valentines, but I have no idea how to make shipping Art. But then I realized Valentines fell on the same time period as Carnaval in Latam, so I thought it would be nice to have a Carnaval themed Valentines art. I may be Brazilian, but given that I don’t like Brazilian Carnaval, I had the idea of making it Baranquillan Carnaval instead after watching my (Colombian) parents watching a parade from Barranquilla (my mom’s hometown).
Shadow and Amy are practicing one Colombian’s tradicional dances known as Cumbia (at Amy’s suggestion).
It was a great chance to practice drawing clothing!
(FOR THE RECORD: I like both Shadamy and Shadouge (though I like Shadouge better). I went Shadamy rn because I felt like they fit in better with this attire, but I MIGHT do a Shadouge version with a different attire also used in Baranquillan Carnaval)
