ahh thanks for this, it's nice to hear that some/other people like it. i think i'm biased towards actions because when i was a kid my mum would always insist that i needed to take action as well, but sometimes you *can't* so in that case i'm sure words are much nicer than nothing @.@

yeah i've heard of that too... one of my friend's relatives made the switch in her 30s, and another friend of mine who's really sucessful in the industry now never actually finished university and is mostly self-taught. and in the couple of compsci classes i took (intro ones), half the class would be people who had been doing that kind of thing themselves since they were like, 13, and already knew how to do everything but were only in the class in the first place because it was a major requirement or whatever.

i should prob look into some more sensible options before jumping straight into the one where i have no idea what i'm doing...
