@cupcakesmuses liked for a v; PASS THROUGH FIRE starter for Gem
"I'm pretty sure you have something of mine."
Dustfinger was just over Gem's shoulder before he made himself known, hoping to get the jump on her and startle her into just confessing before she had a chance to avoid him or come up with a bluff.
He'd practically caught her with her hand in his pocket; he'd been just a second too late. But the coin he'd carefully counted had been there only a moment before she'd brushed past him on the way to the piano at the front of the tavern, where Dustfinger was helpless to follow her until she'd finished her set and taken a break for a drink.
"Just give it back and I'll forget it ever happened. No harm, no foul."
Stranger things roleplay Steve Harrington x OC Rose
starter for
@cupcakesmuses
Rose had been having bad dreams lately, and unfortunately, nothing seemed to make things better. No matter what she tried to do to stop her nightmares and night terrors, they still persisted. Having her dog, a golden retriever, Lucky, and her black cat, Shadow, helped a little- at least sometimes.
Her long shifts at the Hideout as a bartender sometimes took a toll on her. Working at the school as a teacher alongside coach Steve offered at least some sort of relief. She loved her job and working with the kids.
Someday, she hoped to be a mom and have little nuggets of her own. Her jobs kept her busy but since she was adopted by the Cunninghams, she never fit in with the family. She wanted a family of her own.
Ever since Eddie was lost in the Upside Down, Dustin was never the same. Neither was Rose, Robin, nor Steve. Eddie's loss was great, and everyone mourned. Rose knew she would never fully get over his passing.
Little did anyone know, but they would be seeing Eddie again one day and someday soon. He just wouldn't be the way he was before. Steve and Eddie had even become good friends before Eddie was lost to them in the upside-down. Dustin took it the hardest, of course, and Uncle Wayne.
Rose was inspired by Eddie and was a hard-working musician herself. Ever since she had started writing and performing- singing and playing bass guitar for her all-girl band, The Hawkins SheDevils, he was a muse for her. Eddie, Robin, and of course, Steve, even Vickie sometimes would show up to watch her perform.
Jolting awake at night from her nightmare about Eddie dying in the upside-down, she gripped the sheets and cried out, thrashing around. Steve had moved in recently, and she hoped she hadn't disturbed him. Catching her breath, she tried to count and remain calm, but it was useless. She wrapped her arms around herself and started sobbing and crying inconsolably.
Elphaba really didn't mean to draw attention to herself, she tried to be a good girl and focus on taking care of her father and keeping them both housed and fed.
But an emotional outburst involving making a thieving shop owner float and dump the gold he'd taken from the towns folk out onto the square, before dumping him in a mud puddle, had caught someone's attention.
Madame Morrible had followed Elphaba home once she'd fled the market. And the elegant sorceress had informed Elphaba's father that she had great power and potential.
Her father told her all the time that she was special, but Elphaba was still uncertain when Morrible insisted she attend school at Shiz University, so that Morrible could teach her personally.
Elphaba was just a poor magician's daughter, who was she to learn magic never mind at a renown university with private lessons?
"Father, I don't know about all this, who will look after you if I'm at Shiz?"

"Hey! Gods its been so long!" Killian rushes up behind the taller man.
This was going to turn into a dangerous situation if he hadnt asked for help... Throwing an arm around the mans shoulders, He pulls him in to whisper in his ear. "Don't look but I'm being followed, please just walk me to my carriage house." He looks up at him, brown eyes pleading.
It was evident that Killian probably had a bit too much to drink, but the two big men looming behind him was a telling sign.
@cupcakesmuses Gets a requested DND verse for Vera (requested by me)
---
Vera was the kind of assassin that people hear of through whispers. They were raised to hide, infiltrate, stalk and kill, and ever since they were fifteen the ante was raised exponentially. They were loaned out to the highest bidder, to kill anyone under the sun with very little reservations about it. Until there was a bust on the underground organization, and Vera changed custody from them to the kingdom.
The security of her cell was high but so was the quality, they hadnt lived in such luxury in a long while. They figured the king would have to call in a favor sometime, if they were being treated like this and not executed.
And that was correct.
Put before the king with a knight by their side, they knelt, looking up at the throne. Their assignment was pretty simple. 'take care of' another king that is encroaching on his territory. Sure. Though the king let them both know that the knight by their side would be accompanying them to make sure they wouldn't escape. so on a short leash as well...
"I don't work well with others."
They say as they rifle through the bag of their belongings they wouldn't let them have in containment, shrugging on a jacket they look back at the knight in question.
“ i think my nurse is trying to kill me. ” - Trent to Ted. What landed Trent in the hospital? That's up to you ;)
"Well, now, who wants to kill you, Nancy Drew?" Ted kept his tone light, friendly, wondering just where this was coming from. Admittedly, he was pretty sure Trent was on some of the good painkillers, but still, it was a heck of a thing to hear from a friend.
❝ just take my hand and close your eyes. pretend we’re anywhere else but here. ❞ ( Gem ) @cupcakesmuses
He’s definitely had BETTER days, and while those are rare, Caleb usually treasures them enough to tide him over the bad ones, though every now and again he feels like he’s dangling over that cliff once more, and maybe he needs someone to pull him back.
“That’s a dangerous thing to offer to someone.” He finally says, taking a deep breath as he meets her eyes for a brief MOMENT. “But I appreciate the offer nonetheless.”
{ Redwood’s look of contempt was unrivaled. Anger. Disgust. Wrath. All of that was there in his eyes. Along with the drive to kill. To maim. }
{ What words West had to say, fell on deaf ears. Every ignorant to advice, Ares could care less about this city and it’s laws. It’s laws were meaningless. The Sheriff made it so . . . by his own corruption. He’s hurt many, many people, yet always appeared “virtuous” in the eyes of the public. Ares could not abide. He could not allow it to continue. }
{ He must end this monopoly on violence. With his own methods. }
“Out of my way.”
{ The mercenary grabbed West. His vicious eyes stared at West, almost like some hungry wolf disturbed before his kill. It was as if, Ares was ready to hurt West as well. Ares relented, but kept his objective firm. He wanted West to understand where he was coming from. }
“Someone needs to put him down. These people are blind. Cowards. It might as well be my burden. My action to take!”
