Her design is just very cute to me, like a weasel sorta. I don’t remember where the doll comes from in the show but a childhood toy seemed like a sad and likely thing for draconequus twilight to cling to.

My Little Pony x Animator vs Animation.

I like to think Alan/The Animator would be similar to Discord in the mlp show. He’s basically his own set of entity outside of reality. In his early days he enjoyed tormenting his creations and creating them in his image.

In present day, he has found the Magic of Friendship™ by way of befriending Orange and has stopped his cruel power plays.

Brews potions that can cure any natural illness or even magical curses! Or perhaps even bestow curses should she be feeling mischievous.

History:

Perplexa is the youngest of her siblings, and as a result the most mischievous. Perhaps it was due to her age or perhaps it was due to her being a bit of a daddy's girl! After all being the daughter of a being of chaos why shouldn't she enjoy stirring a little herself? Thanks to her birthmother's influence Perplexa developed quite the knack for potion brewing, and she'd spend hours helping her mother mix various elixirs and cure-alls for the creature that came to their home for a fix. Though if the quest was rude...well, Perplexa would brew in a lil trick as a punishment for poor manners. Perplexa had such a natural talent in potion brewing that she even manifested a cutie mark due to it! How odd, considering that neither of her birth parents were traditional ponies, but maybe it was her other mother and the magic of Equestria's influence that led to the manifestation.
