What are your headcannons for The Legendary Chalice and the Calix Animi in Cuphead?

It can be about the history of it all, or small details about certain warriors.

One of my headcannons is that Chalice was basically a Joan of Arc-like figure in the universe, who also died extremely young and the reason her statue looks more grown-up is the same reason modern interpretations of Joan look more grown up
