New From CurbStand: Cashless Valet in the Skies!

As a leader in the valet parking technology industry, CurbStand is always looking for ways to make the CurbStand app better and more useful to our customers.  With that in mind, let me introduce you to the next CurbStand concept: CurbStand AirStand! We’ve partnered with  a number of flying automobile manufacturers to bring you the convenience of CurbStand’s cashless valet parking, in the skies!  We will be launching this concept in Malibu and Santa Monica and any current CurbStand location with at least 200 feet of takeoff and landing space.  Over the past few weeks, we’ve selected a number of our highest-rated valet drivers to take flying lessons at the Santa Monica airport, and we are proud to say that they all passed with ‘flying colors’ and have completed the mandatory minimum of 40 hours of in-flight training. These sky-valets are ready to assist in takeoff and launch duty, as well as maneuvering the vehicles to pre-determined CurbStand hangar locations.  Here is how it will work:

While in the air, have your co-pilot check in using the CurbStand app to the nearest CurbStand AirStand location.

Land your flying car at our dedicated runway.  AirStand valets are ready to guide you in with our patented Air Traffic Control Valet Stand 2.0

Enjoy your meal, fun and movies, etc.

When you’re ready to go, request your flying car from the app, and the valet driver will have it waiting for you at the runway.

We will be launching this concept today, April 1st, so you can be the first on your block to try valet in the sky.  Simply look for the CurbStand plane logo in the in-app map to find where CurbStand AirStand is offered.

CurbStand needs your help! Remember when we brought valet service to the parking nightmare that is Runyon Canyon? In one day, we alleviated the endless circling, traffic holdups, and desperate parallel parking maneuvers with our convenient, cash-free valet service.  For two weekends, parking at Runyon Canyon was a breeze.  However, due to restrictions from the city of Los Angeles, we had to stop valet service at Runyon.  But with your help, we just might bring it back.  Starting today, we are launching the #LegalizeCurbStand campaign begins!

2. Open the app and scroll to the Runyon location from where you are

3. Tap the little yellow drop pin, enter 123456 and check-in. DONE!

The Scenic PCH, Now with CurbStand!

Driving down the PCH with the wind in your hair, your friends in the seats and your boards in the trunk, you don’t have a care in the world… That is, until the waves die down and its time to find someplace to eat.  Duke’s looks like a great spot, but there’s no street parking.  Same situation at Gladstone’s.  And its not like you can pull over to the side and think about it, or circle the block looking for a spot.  But wait! You have CurbStand, the cashless valet app.  You know you didn’t want to leave a wallet full of cash sitting on the beach while you were out in the lineup.  Instead, your iPhone has your parking covered, as you find the restaurant in the CurbStand map, check in, and drop off your car.  You know you’ll be fine to make a quick getaway, in case traffic or the waves pick up, since you can request your car in the app from the valet driver, even while you’re finishing your burger.  Speaking of burgers… At Duke’s, an old school surf shack vibe meets a high-end Malibu ambience at this PCH staple.  Find a table in the dining room for fancy fare like Tahitian Shrimp with coconut milk, grilled papaya, avocado, tomato, cucumber, lime and shaved peppers, or the Seven Spice Ahi with papaya hot mustard sauce, pickled bok choy and jasmine rice.  If you’re fresh off the sand, check out the Barefoot Bar for an easy going happy hour menu featuring Poke Tacos with raw ahi with shoyu, Maui onions, and wasabi aioli or the Wings of Fire, tossed in Duke’s lava sauce with buttermilk dressing.  Of course, the world-famous Charbroiled Cheeseburger is worth the trip alone.  Duke Kahanamoku may have been known as the ambassador of surfing, but his taste in burgers was just as legendary. For a romantic dinner, Gladstone’s offers the freshest seafood and the best ocean views in the ‘Bu.  From your vantage point in the exquisite dining room, watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean while you dine on tuna tartare dressed with citrus soy, mustard-avocado puree and sesame seeds on a wonton crisp, and the Alaskan Red King Crab Legs with Alaska steamed corn, red bee potatoes, and broccolini.

A little further down PCH, set in gorgeous Malibu Canyon, The Malibu Cafe offers world-class food and drinks in a beautiful natural environment.  Their extensive wine list boasts local bottles from top-notch wineries like Colcanyon Estatesand Malibu Sanity.  You can enjoy brunch, lunch and dinner in their scenic outdoor dining area.  Dining on world-class local fare is an absolute treat under outdoor chandeliers hanging from a tree while copper tiki torches provide light for your able.  CurbStand recommends the Penn Cove Mussels and Mesquite Grilled Baby Back Ribs.
