I'm still working on the specifics of it but basically after jebus first meets tricky he remembers who he is and instead of just fighting the two become friends again and try to find a cure and succeed ^^
Gary doesn’t usually interact with children, but he’s never disliked one before.
But he’s confident he hates Po’s existence. She seems to take delight in inconveniencing everyone’s day.
She was sent to the medical wing for the daily check-up on her neck and back, and she had ‘pranked’ him by almost hitting him with her scythes.
You could compare her laughing with a hyena.
“You could have killed me!” He usually also never raised his voice at older kids.
Po fake pouts, he knew what false emotions looked like.
“Hey, be nice to me, it’s my birthday season.”
“Oh for fucks sake.” Gary pinches the bridge of his nose.
“Hey, careful, you shouldn’t swear in front of kids!” Tinky Winky usually always accompanied Po to her checkups.
And didn’t seem to mind Po’s life-threatening antics.
He sighs deeply. “Just hop on the table so we can get this over with.”
The red Teletubby was kind of shorter than the examination table, so she spent several minutes struggling to lift herself onto it.
“...Do you want help?” Tinky offered after seconds of awkward silence, aside from Po’s frustrated huffs and puffs.
She nods her head and the bigger Tubby grabs her from under her arms and sits her on the table.
Gary brought over his X-ray scanner, her back seemed to be okay.
He hovers it over her head, her brain held no concerns either.
“Are we done yet?” Po kicks her legs.
“You’ve been here for your check-up before, you know this isn’t done yet.” He wishes she would be quiet during the whole thing.
He still had to check her heart rate, and blood testing to see if they have to adjust her medication-
“Why do you have to scan her?” Tinky Winky interrupts his train of thought.
It was the first type he sounded more curious than wary.
“To make sure nothing new is mutating and to confirm that she’s not skipping on her medication.”
“I thought the cure fixed that problem.” Po flops on her back.
“First of all, sit up.” Gary squints his pink eyes at her. “Secondly, it is a temporary fix; you need the medication so you don’t relapse to how you were behaving before.”
She pouts but sits up. “Or apparently mutate.”
Gary sighs as he hears the door open.
“Uh, sorry not my turn?” Dipsy’s voice awkwardly emits from the doorway.
“I’ve just started examining her.”
“Also this little weirdo won’t stop following me.”
“Yeti isn’t weird!” Someone shoves Dipsy into the room and a fluffy-looking Tubby steps in.
If Tinky had to guess, he thinks he’s 15’6 tall.
Gary squints his eyes, he seems vaguely familiar.
“Oh, that’s right I’ve seen your picture before.” He comments out loud.
It’s Yeti’s turn to squint at him. “Excuse me?”
“Lenny sometimes showed your picture to people, usually to avoid subjects.” The orange doctor pauses. “He’s never referred to you by your names though.”
The other grumbles and groans then shakes his head. “Who went through the caves?”
“Uh, me.” Dipsy raises an eyebrow at him.
Yeti scowls. “Fucking seriously? I’ve been looking for your friends for nothing?”
“Can everyone stop swearing?!” The purple Teletubby grunts, his brows narrowing. “There’s a child in here!”
“I wouldn’t call thirteen a child age.” Gary finally starts looking for his other equipment.
Yeti huffs. “Did the dipstick see a brown Teletubby in the caves?”
Dipsy’s dark face scrunches. “Only Laa-Laa can call me that.”
“Just answer Yeti’s question, this is just homework Lenny gave me.” He folds his arm, pouting angrily.
“Yeah, I think I saw a brown guy, I hit him with my chainsaw-”
“WHAT?!”
Tinky didn’t know how it was possible, but Yeti got even more mad.
“He’s like a smaller angrier version of Lenny,” Gary mutters under his breath .
“Your homework is finished, you can leave now.” Dipsy makes a shooing motion.
Yeti glares his arctic blue eyes at him before leaving, slamming the door behind him and making everyone jump.
“...I hate to say it, but I need to speak to Lenny about his kid’s behavior.”
“Lenny had a kid with someone?” Dipsy’s question almost made Gary choke on air .
“I certainly hope not.” He tightly keeps his mouth in a thin line so he doesn’t burst out laughing at the thought.
Yeti huffs and grumbles as he tries to find Lenny. This base was fucking huge and he didn’t like seeing so many Teletubbies he doesn’t know.
He trudges into the communication center, the taller Tele currently seemed to be speaking to a white Tubby in a black hoodie.
“Why not just send a team to the caves instead of waiting?”
“Because if Cave isn’t there, it’s a waste of everyone’s time.”
“You could still try instead of waiting, you seem a bit impatient.”
“While it is taking longer than I would prefer, it’s not easy to find certain people in such a big base.”
“What kind of name is ‘Cave’ anyway?”
Yeti squints.
“You literally have been calling that kid ‘Blinky’.”
“Hey-”
Lenny focuses his purple gaze on Yeti. “Well, about time you showed up.”
“Cave is in the caves.”
Lenny pulls out his phone , “Good, I was getting impatient.” He carefully walks past Yeti as if he was purposely trying to avoid any slight physical contact.
It confused Yeti but he quickly paced after him.
“What is Lenny doing now?”
He pauses.
“Just getting a bit of the cure, I’m not sure how I’m going to get it in Cave’s system though.” He’s quiet for half a second. “No offense, but why are you following me again?”
“...To go find Cave?” He thought this was obvious.
“He might try to kill you, he’s infected just like how you were.”
“That’s silly, friends don’t kill friends.”
Lenny didn’t comment on that, shifting all of his focus to contacting Tisa, Richard, and Anne.
Is your Cookie kid going to try to eat us? Tisa texted back making Lenny snort.
I guess we’ll find out
He simply responds back before pocketing his phone with a low chuckle.
“What’s so funny?”
“Tisa’s just concerned Cave might try to eat everyone.”
Yeti scowls. He seriously disliked Tisa , she constantly made fun of him for what he did in the mountains.
Rewrite of the Cure AU-Chapter 13: Guns and Distorted Melodies
Yeti noticed something alarming that made a certain memory clearer. Things that he was informed were called guns. It’s unsettling to see Lenny so calm around people who carry these things, considering he was literally threatened by, gag, Lucky with one.
It was an accidental sight since Lenny had accidentally activated the doors from his possible shock or surprise. Before moving away from the dome when he realized the three of them saw the gun.
He thought he was pretty subtle about kind of following him, not at all wanting anyone with a gun to try to shoot him.
“No offense, but why are you following me everywhere?”
Yeti nearly had a heart attack from Lenny suddenly addressing him.
“...What? How did Lenny know?”
“I know what your pulse sounds like, you don’t sound panicked so I’m not sure why you’re following me.”
He wasn’t sure how to answer that.
“Aren’t you paranoid around the guns?”
The taller Chi pauses.
“...I don’t typically have any business in the weapon rooms, and I never handle any so I’m not going to accidentally shoot myself.”
For someone who passed high school, he sure is missing the gosh dang point. Surely Lenny has not forgotten such a traumatic experience.
“You literally hang around the guns in every room you walk into.”
Lenny finally turns around to look down at him. “The...guns?” He furrows his brows, obviously thinking hard. “...Are you referring to Anne and Gary as a gun?”
“Of course?” He rarely sees Lenny and the orange Teletubby in the same room, but the pink one constantly is trying to interact with Lenny. It’s suspicious and weird. Like what are you planning you shady bastard?
“Are you suggesting that you’re concerned someone is going to shoot me or something?”
“Lenny still talks odd, but yes, of course.” As a child he sometimes couldn’t understand what Lenny was talking about, but nowadays he can somewhat understand what he means. Kinda annoying.
“I wouldn’t advise anyone to do that, they’d be out of a job.” He then continued his walk down the hall towards the communications center. “...You’re still following?”
“Yeti doesn’t know anyone else here, it’s awkward enough when Yeti makes eye contact with the Unit.”
“...Right, sorry.”
As usual he was being looked at when he walked in.
“Where might we find the other one?” The pink tall one only spared him a glance before looking at Lenny.
“I’m not positive, but if Yeti was found in the mountains, then he might be in the other direction.”
“Why are you talking about Yeti as if he isn’t even here?”
Lenny huffs slightly. “You can go play somewhere else if you’re bothered by that.”
“Yeti isn’t seven anymore.”
“Anyway, it might be best to ask them if they have ever gone into the caves, we’re not sending soldiers on a goose chase.”
“Why not send your Tiny baby to do it, since he has nothing better to do and he’s just going to get in the way of everyone.”
Yeti squints at the tall pink one.
“What the hell…?” They had to return to the Outskirts to find a sample of ‘infected’ custard.
The last thing Dutch expected to find were bodies scattered on the dirt. They were rotting and torn apart so he could see the bones and innards.
Ugh, gross.
“Weren’t these the things we saw the last time we were here?” Anne didn’t appear disgusted at all by the mess.
“Let’s just find a sample and leave.” Dutch huffs, according to Guardian, a sample should be in the ruins.
He could only internally hope that the ruins were more clean.
He wasn’t lucky, there were more torn apart bodies. He could smell it even with his helmet on.
“Okay, that is kinda gross.” Anne calmly commented.
“Is that glowing thing the ‘custard’?” Conor’s monotone voice rings out.
Dutch looks where the silver Teletubby is possibly referring to. It indeed was glowing a bit in the blue bowl.
Conor climbs up the steps and carefully picks up the bowl. They didn’t know if the custard could infect the skin upon contact, but best to be safe considering their finger less gloves.
Miles shifts side to side as he waits for everyone to leave, along with staring at his wrist as if he has a watch on.
He pauses hearing a strange noise behind him. It almost sounded like a melodious breath. Not sure if that’s something someone’s vocal chords could do.
The sergeant only considered turning around when he felt someone’s breath.
To see a yellow Teletubby, taller than him, her green eyes squint angrily at him with her mouth pulled into a snarl.
Miles’s muscles felt frozen.
Her hair was a dirty bloody mess with dried up gore on her fur, not to mention the dirty state of her clothes.
He wasn’t sure what he planned to say but it was interrupted by her screaming, not like a person, like a wild animal.
Miles tried to reach for his flamethrower but she pounced and pinned him against the stone, his helmet the only thing protecting his face from her bloody claws. She shrieked, her right hand trying to break the helmet and her left claws dug into his shoulder.
He clenches his jaw
Suddenly the crazy female was physically removed and stumbled back covering her left eye with another scream, this time from pain.
It took him a few seconds to realize Anne had shoved the yellow Tele off and cut her eye with her knife.
She stumbles out the exit of the ruins, still screaming.
“What the hell is a crazy girl doing out here in the middle of nowhere?” Anne shakes her head and helps Miles up.
“We better get out of here before she comes back.” Conor passes the bowl to Dutch, ignoring his complaints to follow Miles back to the helicopter.
He carefully followed them, furrowing his brows at certain footprints in the dirt. Not the ones created by her fleeing, there were similar ones as if she had been slowly following them before she attacked Miles.
