Hi! I like reading your among us ramblings and polyinterns ship stuff!

Just as a general curiosity do you have any headcanons for the characters? Either shipping or otherwise?

sorry for making you wait anon, i just really haven't had an answer! usually my hcs are hidden in posts, like the scars post, but that doesn't mean i don't have any others!!

heres some loose ones (mostly surrounding my favorite characters)

shipping:

* polyinterns.. lalala

* orange and white both individually are crushing on green because 1. It's funny 2. They are an endearing failure (or at least seem to be, later on)

* pizzacrust qpr my beloved. + aro yellow (+ they ARE married. for tax benefits)

* non-monogamous among us . thats the whole sentence

world building:

* i really like the hex-code as legal names hc. color names are something used in causal speech and among (US???) strangers/acquaintances/friends, but its kinda like telling someone your middle name if you tell them your hex. hence why your family would know it

* additionally, i think itd be a stereotype for edgy teenagers to go by their hex code lol

* im not going to talk about among us sex but im neutral to the plant theory

* honestly id say they reproduce asexually but the ones in the show are all horny as fuck so im hesitant to stand by that lmao

* i think they're covered in oils that slick back the fur they're coated in but i don't know if you're all ready for that

characters (finally):

* purple likes enclosed spaces so they can watch their surroundings, red is claustrophobic.

* this is sort of implied in this first draft of a fic im writing, but there is pepperoni on the ship, yellow and brown just used other meat on the pizzas

* not a hc but theres a throw away joke in like. episode 4. about the crew using the freezer to do a multitude of things, including "make out" and. im sorry for taking a joke so seriously but i literally have to know who. again theyre all horny but like WHO WAS IT

* petmates live for longer than their irl counterparts, and purple got heracles back when they were an intern

* the aliens eat the singular among us bone and replace themselves with it lol

* stole hc, but the imposters are also mostly air ! like a pufferfish

* i CANNOT cope with 24 year old lime so my leading theories are: 1. different calendar 2. limes bad at math 3. limes actually just lowballing to "protect their identity"

* red actually dresses towards the "feminine side" (will wood reference omga) a lot, but is usually too lazy to be high fem lol

* this may be obvious to some but the mira CEO and its higher ups are 100% definitely also aliens. this is canon in my fic

Jackie would cry. Hard.

He’d spend hours upon hours digging through the rubble, trying desperately to find a flash of green, or a peek of blue or black cloth, something to know that Marvin didn’t disappear under the rubble.

He’d dig and dig and dig until his hands were sore and bruised and then he’d find a head of green hair, dull with dirt and blood. He’d cry out of a mixture of relief and fear as he moved aside the rubble burying his boyfriend in a more careful manner. He didn’t want to bruise him more than he probably already was.

He wouldn’t stop until Marvin was completely unearthed from the debris, his body battered and bruised and stained with scattered blood. With tears in his eyes, Jackie would brush the magician’s hair away from his face, the bruises making the scars around his eyes stand out even more, and Jackie, with the utmost gentleness, would place Marvin’s mask back on his face. Right where it belongs.

The hero would stare at his fallen boyfriend for a moment before bursting into a fresh set of tears, sobs wracking his body as he picked up Marvin’s corpse and held him close to his chest, cradling his head with one hand and supporting the small of his back with the other. The hero would plant kiss after kiss on the magician’s cold, dirty cheeks, hoping that would somehow make him wake up.

“You’ll always be my hero, Marvin,” Jackie would choke out between sobs, cradling his boyfriend’s body until the sun rose and Marvin’s cheeks lost all their color and his eyes never glowed with that spark Jackie fell in love with all that time ago.

After that day, Jackie never believed in magic again.

Well, I don’t see why not!

I think after Marvin got up from Robbie suddenly jumping him, he’d immediately reassure him and let him know that it was the sickness making him act strange and that he didn’t truly want to hurt him, and that he just needs to rest and not worry too much about it.

Soon afterwards, tho, Marvin would spend hours upon hours doing research on what could have possibly made Robbie react that way (Anti helps him out too bc fuck this is his brother too and he wants to help him recover), and it’s also one of the few times Marvin and Anti have ever willingly worked together towards the same goal.

When they find out that Angus was the last one with Robbie before he got sick, Anti immediately teleports him and Marvin to Angus’s current location (which scares the living daylights out of him at first bc he wasn’t expecting it), and once the duo get Angus to calm down from their sudden visit, they inform Angus about Robbie’s condition, and he informs them about taking Robbie exploring with him and how they found a patch of odd mushrooms during their trip and how Robbie accidentally fell into some, but Angus didn’t notice anything weird with Robbie for the rest of the trip afterwards, so he never thought to say anything.

Once Angus understands what’s going on, he gives Anti and Marvin a special fungicide that will help the fungus leave Robbie’s system, but it won’t hurt Robbie at all. “It’ll be like he’s taking an Advil, so it should be fine,” Angus tells them, and they trust his word when it comes to this stuff, so they nod and thank Angus for his help and reassure him that this isn’t his fault and that no one knew this would happen, and they teleport back to the SepticEgo household after hugging the survival hunter goodbye.

When they return, they immediately inform Schneep about what they found out,and Schneep tells them that he’ll make sure to give the fungicide pills to Robbie with the rest of his medicine, and see if what Angus said was actually true. It ends up working, and after a few days the fungus is completely gone! The situation never happened again after that, which Schneep assumed was the fungicide acting as a sort of vaccine for Robbie so that it won’t infect him again in the future.

Im really interested now. Why did Marvin start doing the dark arts? What did the other egos think of him doing it? Did he every scare any of the egos during this time? (Last two I'm mainly asking about JBM but I'm interested to see the others reactions as well) ~Curiosity Anon

I mentioned this in the headcanon list I made for Marvin a few days ago, but I hc he dabbled in the dark arts as a means of self-preservation. He’s been homeless and on the run ever since he was about thirteen, and over the years he’s had to learn a wide variety of spells and magic in order to protect himself. As he got older, though, his situation grew more and more dangerous, and he was desperate. Marvin would’ve never considered learning the dark arts under any other circumstances, but in his mind, if he became the scariest thing on the streets, no one would try and hurt him, and that’s why he caved and taught himself black magic.

I personally think that he stopped dabbling in the dark arts shortly before meeting the other egos, but he revived Robbie while living with them. I mentioned in the previous ask that he felt drawn to Robbie’s grave when he was figuring out which corpse to test his necromancy spell on due to the influence of the fandom, but he also wanted to see if he could actually pull it off, and if he did, he’d want to use it on someone (Robbie) whose life was cut short and deserved a second chance.

None of the other egos – not even Jackie – know he used to practice black magic, so how he explained Robbie’s existence to them was that since Robbie’s a fan-made ego, the fans were the ones who brought Robbie into existence, and Marvin just so happened to find the zombie wandering around in the woods near the SepticEgo household while he was out. Everyone believed him, but Anti had always been a bit skeptical about Marvin’s story, even if it technically was true to a degree. Anti did eventually drop it, and he’s grateful that he did, because at this point him and the other egos have no idea what their lives would be like without Robbie.
