Curious Crew Tag List Reset

Hello fellow crewmates! I know you didn't hear much from me in 2023, but I am hoping to turn that around in 2024. As such, it is time for me to do a reset of my Curious Crew tag list.

I like to reset my list each year, starting from scratch so those who no longer wish to be on my tag list can simply move on. Of course, anyone can ask to be added or removed at any time throughout the year, but I find doing a reset helps to release people guilt-free, ensuring I'm not annoying them with fic notifications they no longer with to receive.

SO... Who wants to be a part of me crew in 2024?

Six Sentence Sunday - 1/8/23

It was a relatively productive week for me. After not really working on any of my wips for MONTHS, I set a goal to write, or at least average, 300 words per day. I came in at just over 2200 words for the week, with several hundred on the next chapter of Pan Says..., and a large chunk from the wip I’ll be sharing from today.

This week’s six(ish) sentences comes from my tentatively titled Law of Surprise fic. While the premise of the fic is inspired by the practice indicated in the title, the story itself is not connected to The Witcher universe, from which the idea came.

The entire ship had gone silent, with only the snapping of the sails and splash of waves against the hull daring to compete with the Queen’s words. Sun gleamed off the surface of the hook, still held in Liam’s hand, and Killian swallowed tightly as he took it in his own. Holding it up, he considered how this seemingly inconsequential piece of equipment had changed the course of his life, and with the Law of Surprise still owed to him by the King, the greatest of those changes were as yet unknown to him. Queen Snow was right. He could think of no other attachment that would be more fitting for whatever the fates might have in store for him.

Positioning the hook into the end of the brace, he gave it a firm turn until it clicked into place, restoring a piece of himself he never thought he’d get back. Clearing his throat, Killian shifted his posture, bringing himself to full height, faced his brother, and asked, “What are your orders, Captain?”

Six(ish) Sentence Sunday

To ring in the new year, I thought I would start up Six Sentence Sunday again. 

Each week, I’ll share a six(ish) sentence snippet from a wip I’ve worked on that week. In addition to the snippet, I’ll list the fics my muse is currently vibing on, and you can let me know in an Ask or reply which ones you’d like a snippet from the following week. 

Today’s six(ish) sentences are from Part Five of Pan Says... which currently has almost 1400 on it, just from today!! Enjoy!

Consciousness returned slowly. The buzz of the fluorescence, the warmth of the blanket, the soft caress of fingers carding through his hair, the scent of his Swan, the dryness of his tongue as is stuck to the roof of his mouth, all points of awareness that were sharpening with clarity as he broke free from the confines of sleep.

“Killian?” Emma whispered, seemingly having sensed the change in his breathing. “Killian, are you awake?”

With effort, Killian managed to pry his eyes open and focus on the concerned pinch in his Swan’s brows. Reaching up, he intended to soothe it away with the pad of his thumb, but when he opened his mouth to respond, all that came out was a croaked, “Aye,” before he erupted into a fit of coughs from the cool air hitting the aridness of his throat.

2023 Curious Crew Tag List Reset

Every year, I like to do a reset of my tag list. This gives those who may have left the fandom, or simply do not wish to be tagged on my works any longer an easy out, lol.

If you would like to remain on my Curious Crew tag list for notifications when I post updates or new works, then please send me an Ask or leave a comment on this post.
