MOONLIGHT STORYTIME “WOOLYDRAGON” has been chosen for the Official competition of the 2016 Annecy International Film Festival in the TV series category. "Woolydragon" is the episode I storyboarded and I'm so excited to be part of the amazing cast and crew for this short. Please wish us luck!

Check out this new stop-motion animated series called Moonlight Storytime, launched by Curious World.  Though I didn’t storyboard this episode, I did get to board on a couple of the other stories in this series, which will be released soon.  The whole series is stopmotion, with the opening sequence done with puppets and sets, while the main stories are done using stop-mo animated paper cutouts. Enjoy!

Digital Aged

While I’m sure many of us here are against ebooks, no matter how convenient and easy to carry they are, it’s undeniable that ebooks, like every other technological advancement are taking over our lives. I saw a commercial last night for electronic blinds that automatically adjusted depending on your setting for that time of day. Yes, that’s easy and convenient, about as much so, as getting off the couch and adjusting your blinds. So, while I hate ebooks and readers, they are at the very least, more justafiable than adjustable blinds, or an appliance specifically designed for cooking hotdogs.

All of that being said, they’re also everywhere, and now for everyone. But my motto has and always will be, “as long as people are reading something.” It seems HMH (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) agrees with my super general life motto. They have just debuted a digital subscription service for kid’s.

For $9.99 a month, you can watch lovingly as your young one stares blankly at a glaringly bright screen and know that at least they’re reading something. “Curious World” offers not only ebooks, videos, and games, but interactive learning experiences to add a little education to play. And while it might seem like I’m against this, the complete opposite is true! I’d much rather see my nieces and nephews reading Curious George or playing a Polar Express numbers game than glued to Temple Run like their life depends on it.
