Amusing story idea where Hazel keeps trying to get Red's attention (in kind of concerning ways since she is a pirate and all) and Red can't figure out why. Not only that but it greatly annoys Chloe who almost duels her over it.

Only to find out that the reason she did all that was just to get Red's approval.

Chloe: Stop trying to take my girlfriend!

Hazel: I'm not trying to take your girlfriend, you arrogant Charming, it's her sister that I'm after.

Chloe:... What?

Red: Is that what all this was about?

Hazel: Yes!

Red: Huh...Hey, Pink, do you like Hazel?

Hazel: Wait, don't just-

Pink: What? I mean, yeah, I think, she can be nice sometimes.

Red: Will you go on a date with her so she can stop bothering Chloe?

Chloe: Both of us, she was bothering both of us!

Red: Both of us, but mainly Chloe.

Pink: Oh, wow, um, okay, yeah, sure. Let me just, go get ready. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh (continues on as she walks away).

Hazel: ....Damn it, I hate saying this but that was, actually really cool of you, Re-

Red: Make her cry in any way and we'll see where that hook ends up.

Hazel: Shove off, princess!

Red: She's a princess too, pirate!

Chloe: On second thought, I think I kinda prefer when she was trying to get on your good side. Please don't kill each other.

"It's for character reasons," I mutter to myself, as I reuse a kink I've written before. "It's for character reasons."

Red: hey little sis, when you said you wanted a double date, this isn't quite what I thought you had in mind.

Pink: *stirring her tea* What did you think we were going to do?

Red: I don't know, maybe like a movie or something. Not a tea party in the middle of your bedroom.

Chloe: C'mon Red, I actually think this is kinda nice. Look, Pink even prepared everything herself.

Pink: Awww, thank you Chloe.

Red: Okay fine, the tea party is okay, now for my second concern.

Pink: What's there to be concerned about?

Red: Why her? *Points to Hazel*

Hazel: Wow, even after everything she can't stand that her sister likes me.

Chloe: Red, I think you're being just a little-

Hazel: *getting up* No, It's okay, she can come at me if she wants.

Red: *also getting up* Gladly.

Chloe: Guys wait.

Pink: THERE WILL BE NO FIGHTING AT MY TEA PARTY!

Red and Hazel: *sit back down*

Pink: Yay, now who would like a tea cake?

Chloe: Oh, I'd love one Pink thank you.

I hope that when the movie releases we get sibling angst, if not in canon then in fanon.

More Glassheart moments will be nice too, but the potential for the dynamic between Red and Pink and for it to tear people's hearts is significant. Just imagine:

They knew they couldn't stay. It was not their time. Part of them always knew. What they didn't know, or more precisely what Red didn't know, was that she'd be leaving behind something very important.

Someone worth saying goodbye to.

Not the mom she always wanted, though she'll miss her too, she was prepared for that one.

What she wasn't prepared for was the sister she never knew she needed.

At first she was annoyed fate would spring such a surprise on her. Her first interaction with the walking cupcake did not leave a good impression. Pink seemed annoying at best and downright snobbish at worst, much like the mother she remembered. But as all fairytales go, getting to know Pink was a different story, and Red did her best not to.

She did her best not to notice anything about Pink, her favorite activity (baking), her favorite place (the garden bench below Red's window), who her biggest hero in the whole wide world was (Red).

She did her best not to notice because to know these things meant taking them with her when she left. Then all she'd have left was a bunch of useless facts about a girl that she shouldn't have known. A girl she was slowly starting to wonder what it would have been like to indeed grow up together.

To wonder what it would be like to see her be born, watch her grow, and protect her from all the dangers of the world. Red would have been good at that, knows it in her blood and bones that she would have done anything and everything for her little sister. But it wasn't the life she was meant to have, and Red wasn't going to break down over a cruel joke.

What she will do is say goodbye and then never think of the girl again.

And whenever someone asks her why she hates the color pink, she'll just ask "Wouldn't you be annoyed if you were surrounded by the same color your whole life?" Granted most of the castle is red not pink, but no one has to know it's not true.

No one, but Chloe, has to know about the sister she left behind.

If only.

If only they never went back in time.

Finally published for the first time in nearly a year! It feels good to be back in the smut saddle. I was mostly looking forward to getting it out of the wip queue so I can work on the next bit (which I've started and omg I'm so enamored with it). But actually by the end of the edit I'm pleased with it in its own right.

Instead of one vibe throughout, the mood changes several times, but I think it feels coherent, so I'm proud of that. I'm extremely proud of the title (I have a rule it has to be 3 words of dialogue that also says something about the context or theme of the work as a whole) because I didn't have it until very late in the writing process and I think it's my best yet (there's a major theme of eye contact and watching each other, which surprised me as I was writing). There's plenty of breadcrumbs for 'idiots in love' fans to read into. And as usual Eliot is being mildly an asshole, which is so canonically accurate! I'm happy with it! 😍

Can someone reassure me that my readers won't hate me if I completely skim over any semblance of plot to pack in maximum smut per word count? I just have no enthusiasm about actually devising a con and it's getting in the way of writing the fun stuff.

One weird thing about writing fanfic is that it's often not in the same genre as the original material. I thought to myself "but if I skip that section of the plot, it won't read like an action crime drama". Well, yes, I'm not writing one, I'm writing smut. You can write the same story in a different genre and it'll come out totally different. I'm not writing an episode and adding some smut, I'm writing events that, cut differently, could be an episode, but cut like this, could not!

All this to say, I choose to pride myself on my ruthless efficiency at packing sheer density of smut into a story.

I finally finished the Eliot x Reader fic I started like a year ago and I'm really happy with it! Summary/link below the cut (nsfw).

In this fic within an ongoing series of xReader smut, Eliot is playing a submissive and then a dominant role to act out one of Reader's fantasies (because he can) and in this final chapter he, uhhh, completes the payoff for Reader. Like, a lot. Because, again, he can; he is canonically extremely competent in all the necessary skills 🤷‍♀️
