Welcome to Fanelia (Closed, Pyreflights event)
Her hands resting limply on her lap and her head hanging slightly to the side; Minerva slept soundly in her seat; not making a single movement or sound save from a very soft and nearly unnoticeable snore that sounded like tiny gasps. Normally she didn’t fall asleep while traveling to a foreign land, as she did enjoy looking at the scenery. However, she had been informed to dress warmly on her invitation, and being in her winter clothing, sitting snug in a warm seat with the warm train air? All the while the train rocking ever so gently? She dozed off without even realizing it.
"Now arriving at Fanelia Station!"
Minerva snapped awake upon hearing the woman’s voice and lifted her head quickly to take in her surroundings, her eyes partially wide with surprise. But soon after she relaxed. It was only that voice again; the one she kept hearing every time they made a stop. At first she thought it was a goddess speaking to her, but she soon realized it was not a goddess; for it was actually the great beast, known as Train, who had been speaking to her this entire trip.
"If this is your stop, please gather up all your belongings and ensure you leave nothing behind!"
“Of course, great beast, at once!” Minerva responded to the voice over the intercom. She quickly stood from her seat and grabbed hold of the handle on her suitcase.
"Please do not block the doors and have a pleasant stay in Fanelia~!"
Minerva looked up at the train ceiling and nodded in respect.” To you as well, great beast, I thank you for the ride.”
She quickly made her way toward the doors of the train, dragging her rolling suitcase along with her. When she had arrived at the doors, they slid opened and a quick, cold breeze immediately rushed at her and she winced down into the fake-fur aligning her jacket collar. She closed her eyes as the comfy warmth she had grown used to over the trip quickly disappeared. She stood there for a moment, shivering greatly, before she opened one eye, then the other, and slowly her head lifted out from the jacket like a turtle peeking from its shell.
The snow, the decorations; everything that was now before her… Was absolutely beautiful. She stepped off the train, all the while staring in awe. It was cold, and she wasn’t much of a fan of being chilly; but the beauty of this entire new winter world was enough to make her forget for a moment that it was cold out. However another breeze brushed by and she tucked her nose back down inside her jacket; then dug around in her pocket for a small paper. She pulled said paper out and looked at it.
“The residence where I am to stay during this holiday should be up the road…” She looked to her left, then to her right.” But in which direction do I go to find the road?” She looked to the paper.” … And which road is the correct one?...” She looked back at the train.” Great Train, do you know where I am to go?” Obviously the train didn’t answer.” As lost as I am. I thank you anyway.”
