Flowers for the lady! @pf.events #pfevents shangri la tech production has a girl managing tonight!
You see a female Dewgong splashing around in the water ahead.
Ven and Namine had been wandering around for some time. They’d traveled through a patch of trees and tall grass, scaring away little pokemon. When they arrived at the river however, it was another story entirely. Namine had shown him the basics of how to throw the ball and catch the Pokemon. She even taught him how to get George to attack for him. Pretty neat, so long as Fred behaved himself.
When the Dewgong showed itself, George hopped up to fight instantly. Since Namine had encouraged him, Ven attempted to capture it.
After a few rounds of attacks, George and the Dewgong were both looking rather tired. After exchanging more nods of encouragement from Namine, Ven threw the pokeball at the creature. Fred kweh'd in excitement as the ball landed on the shore trembling. The Pokemon fought valiantly for a while before the ball finally went silent.
Ven approached it slowly, cautiously.
"Kweh! Kweh!" Fred chirped victoriously.
"Alright! I think I’m getting the hang of this!" Ven cheered.
Fighting in the Snow - round 2
Sephiroth’s eyes widened a bit as the other dodged his attack. He hadn’t thought the kid could move that fast. Before the silver knew it, another snowball hit Sephiroth’s shoulder. Ven had been correct in his assumption. The bangs did offer a blind spot, but Sephiroth knew how to get around that. The snow only hit Sephiroth that time because he was still surprised by the blond’s skill. Sephiroth turned in the direction the other had rolled, fully intent on making sure the snow hit him. Sephiroth scooped up a handful of snow yet again. He dashed forward, trying to close some of the distance between the two before hurling the snow at Ven.
"Eep!" Ven tried to step backwards out of the way but he slipped on the wet snow. How incredibly graceful of him. this other guy was pretty good. The next snowball hit him so hard in the face due to the lessened distance that he fell to his back, temporarily disoriented. Ven wasn't ready to give up, but when he tried to sit back up, the other loomed over him like some big bad guy. "Okay, okay you got me." He raised his hands in surrender.
The Treats of the Holidays [Pyreflights Open ]
{家族}—;; Raine was happily humming along as she mixed up some more batter, some flour already on her cheek and in her hair from earlier when she'd accidentally put some a little bit too quickly into the bowl. It was her own ingredients of course as she knew she always got a little messy when she baked. Especially around this time of year. She wanted to surprise everyone in this little vacation home of theirs with some tasty treats of many different kinds.
Some were already in the oven baking happily away. She also had some chocolate chip cookies and some cupcakes cooling on one of the tables nearby. This was honestly one of her favorite things about the year, baking all the goodies that were such favorites of everyone. She just wished she could have done this more with her own family before she'd to say goodbye for a bit but that didn't matter. She'd be able to correct that mistake at least a little bit now after all.
Raine had just finished mixing up some dough for some sugar cookies and was using the rolling pin to flatten it before she made some fun little shapes with them. It was something that her and Ellone used to do often and this was her favorite part when she was younger, making Raine miss her little girl a bit again, however they were happy memories and it made her smile all the same as she worked.
Merry Christmas [surprise!]
Today was a special day, for more reasons than one. The end of the wintry vacation was fast approaching, and the time would soon come when they all had to return home. So Ven wanted to make the most of every moment.
Ever since the ball, Ven had been sort of dating Vanitas. While they hung out occasionally, and surely smiled a lot, it didn’t feel as magical as it had that night. He was determined to change that. He wanted Vanitas to know how much he really cared for him. He’d done a bit of eavesdropping, trying to figure out exactly what Vanitas would like for Christmas. Everything was so perfectly planned.
Dressed up in a warm sweater and jeans, he was almost too warm due to his nerves. He adjusted the fake puppy ears once more before checking to make sure the matching tail wasn't sticking out at an odd angle. A carefully wrapped box full of homemade cookies (with some help from mom) tucked at his side.
Ven hoped it wasn’t too much, dressing up and all. He wanted to be as playful and romantic as possible, but quite frankly, he had no idea how to do that. Fred kweh'd reassuringly from his shoulder. The little chocobo, a gift from Vanitas, had been such a trustworthy companion as of late.
The lounge was rather empty, perhaps everyone else was still asleep. The fire blazed in the fireplace, filling the room with its smoky aroma. Warm morning light filled the room, casting long shadows. What he hadn’t noticed was the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling above them.
Nervously, he approached Vanitas in the lounge, where they’d agreed to meet this time. The other was his normal, practically flawless self. His dark hair reflecting the light of the fire, his golden eyes so bright and full of kindness.
Blushing softly, he held out the present with a sweet smile. “Merry Christmas.”
Not really her cup of tea (Pyreflights)
A cookie in hand, Fran watched most of the people staying in the house working around the tree to decorate it. The younger ones seemed to have a lot of fun and she did not want to break it with her serious face. Balthier was much more into those things than her but she always went along when he dragged her along.
Without him, she was less inclined to participate but nonetheless, she thought it was important to at least be present and share a few words with the others.
"Wow, there's so many of you I still don't know. Hello! My name's Ventus, but you can all call me Ven. I hope we can all be friends okay. So, wanna hang out or something?"
