Andiversay Week Day 4- Part 2
I couldn’t just do the bonus prompt today and not write about a favorite character!
Honestly who isn’t my favorite? I love these characters. In the end I decided the drabble would be about Buffy.
Previous prompts: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4

“I’ve never straightened my hair before,” Buffy explained.
“May I?” Bex held up a brush. Buffy nodded and Bex gently brushed Buffy’s hair. Buffy sighed, it felt nice. “Do you want to keep your hair straight?” Bex asked cautiously.
Buffy studied her reflection. “I like the way I look with straight hair. It’s nice to just blend in more during class…”
“But?” Bex prodded.
“I don’t want to be told what to do. When I wear it curly, I feel like I own the space, I feel confident. Am I making sense?”
“Definitely. Curl power.”
Buffy grinned, “I like that.”

Please go to this link and vote for my photo! It would mean a lot to me, it’s for a contest and I worked really really hard on it. Share this, reblog it, get your friends to vote. I’d get flown to LA and a bunch of other prizes. It would be amazing, I’ve got a decent amount of followers on here so I’m hoping you guys can help make this happen. The road I’m heading down is to hopefully become a stylist like my mentor Anthony Cole, This would be my first real step in 💖💖💖
Curl Power (dir. Josephine Anderson) x VIFF 2024.
Telus' affecting sports documentary follows a teenage girls' curling team from Maple Ridge, 4KGirl$. Coached by three of their mothers, all former Olympic medalist curlers, the five-person team strives to become Canadian Junior Curling Champions themselves while navigating all the usual social anxieties of being high schoolers in suburban British Columbia. It's a lovely, universally told slice-of-life portrait of high-achieving young women coming into their own as adults both in life and curling.
Screening at the 2024 Vancouver International Film Festival as part of the Insights series at SFU Woodward's on Oct. 3 & 5.

“ Curl Power is a zine featuring some of my fellow curly headed friends. With self-empowering photos and an honest interview section, I think you can tell that Macy played the Jonas Brothers ONE too many times while I was working on this zine. Enjoy. ”
