Leo/Jed/Abbey?
Send me a random ship and I’ll tell you my thoughts!
Yes! I said it on my rewatch recently but Leo spends more time managing Jed and Abbey’s marriage than he does his own. Well, there’s a reason!
But I think I specifically love this in a way of like.. they don’t really label it. They don’t really talk about it that explicitly, they just all acknowledge that there is something there and that it’s better if no one ever finds out about that, and that’s… that? Mostly? Neither the words polyamory nor cheating are ever spoken between the three of them, but Leo’s slept with both the President and his wife, and that’s just that, and until the Presidency makes every single relationship in this building really difficult to manage, there aren’t any problems about it either. But it definitely adds to Abbey’s anger in season 2/3 about the re-election, and in season 5 about the kidnapping, when there’s an even stronger personal layer on top of what’s there in canon.
BRB, going to do a re-watch with full "Polyam First Family" glasses on.
Discussion question: do people kink on your job, and are you personally capable of doing so?
People think my job is sexy, but I do not
People think my job is sexy, including me
People do not think my job is sexy, but I do
Nobody thinks my job is sexy, including me
I am unemployed
Context: reading fics where my job is used as a porn premise, and I find it very funny because I cannot imagine being horny under such circumstances.
Personal trainer here, and there is not an insignificant amount of smut (written and video) about my job, but the premise is never based on anything trainers would actually find sexy.
Like yeah yeah, hot people in tight clothes bending over at just the right angle. Yawn, boring, and not even exclusive to a gym setting.
Smut created by a personal trainer would sound something like:
"Hey baby, guess who just committed to coming 🥵😜 3x a week for progressive strength training?"
"Oh yeahhhhh, use that proper lifting form. That spinal alignment getting me all worked up. Mmmm be a good girl and show me that quad activation."
"Damn darling, you're so sexy when you provide 24 hours notice for a session cancellation. Let's get that new time on the calendar ASAP. 💌😏"
"FUCK yesssss put that equipment back where it belongs. Hnggggg I love it when you stack those plates in order."
...
....
..........yeah. Something like that.
Hey so I broke my spine
Any book/movie/TV show recommendations? Recovery is going to take anywhere from 2-4 weeks and I am trying to avoid getting stuck doomscrolling.
Bonus points if they're bone flavored. You know, just to stay on theme. 💀
(This is literally an excuse to send me a massive message info-dumping about your hyperfixations, please I am begging. I have to rest for weeks and I will ✨️eat my teeth✨️ otherwise.)
I always have to start the New Years with this picture.

Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago."

May your blessings be bright on this longest winter night! 🙏🏼✨
For all my hesitation to call myself one, I fucking love being a parent.
The universe really said, hey, here's this unique soul with endless potential and inherent, undefinable worth and you get to help them learn what a toothbrush is.
And I love it. I love that now I can name construction vehicles and dinosaurs and the Paw Patrol characters. I love that going to a car wash becomes an adventure and getting to read bedtime stories and keeping every piece of scribbled artwork because "I made it for you!"
You remember how vast the world truly is, how much there is to learn and experience. The other day, they heard "We Will Rock You" for the first time and now it's a favorite song. I get to find joy in ordinary things because for them, it's brand new and incredible.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
1993, dir. Henry Selick
The early Wonder Woman comics were pretty progressive for their adamant championing of rehabilitative justice, but the way they spread this message was by having all the villains stay on an island where they wore magical girdles which compelled them to be peaceful and obey their Amazonian captors (whom they were required to refer to as mistress) and wear chains all day to condition them into submission to loving authority.
The massive dubcon lesbian orgies were never shown on-panel but we can make some reasonable assumptions there, I think.
Wonder Woman herself got put in the girdle too once, of course
It’s adorable that people in the notes seem to think I am unaware of what William Moulton Marston got up to in his personal life
If you haven't seen Professor Marston and the Wonder Women-
Even if you were a difficult child, you didn't deserve to be hurt.
I hope this message reaches all the neurodiverse and disabled people who were made to feel like their abuse was justified because they had "behaviors".
While this message is true for every child, you are who I had in mind when I wrote it.
I love asking friends, without context, "what are you really into this week?" I'll go first. this week I'm really into mouthwash and sudoku. Last week I was into peaches.
we used to be a society on here!! reblog, don't like! I want to hear what you're into!!! I'm literally looking into the nyt game Pips!!!
The problem I'm having with creating a Locked Tomb playlist (specifically a Griddlehark playlist) is figuring out which types of songs should be included.
Type 1- Songs that are both lyrically relevant and fit the overall tone of the books.
'Take Me to Church'- Hozier
'Eternity'- Alex Warren
'Need a Favor'- Jelly Roll
Type 2- Songs that I personally consider lyrically relevant, but don't necessarily fit the gothic mood
'Be Glad I Love You (Go to Bed)'- Bug Hunter
'How It's Done'- HUNTR/X
'Only the Good Die Young'- Billy Joel
But here is where I get stuck:
Type 3- Songs that are completely discordant from the books in both lyrics and tone but still manage to fit a specific character for no other reason than sheer ✨️v i b e s✨️
'All Star'- Smash Mouth
