#CURLPORN WARNING ⚠️ I got my second #DevaCut today and now have a fully formed fro 😍 Believe me when I say I will NEVER get any cut other a DevaCut. It's soo beneficial to my curls, even though I have to get through what I call "Shrinkage Shock" because the transformation from dead-ends to healthy curls always seems to shorten my hair to half it's length. Once I'm over that, though, I 100% prefer these full healthy curls over stretched out length. If any of y'all Curly Q's are in/near Houston, definitely go to @planetcurls for your DevaCut. Swipe Left for my after cut pics while my hair was still damp. Katie is my fave, but everyone at that salon is a curl connoisseur so I promise you're in safe hands !! Can I take a moment and give a huuuuuge shout out to @witchiloveyourhair 💖💖💖. Not sure how many can relate but I have curly hair , like super curly and all my life (Dominican father, Guatemalan mother) I have been told I have bad hair. Not because it's unhealthy it just because it curly "Esa niña tiene pelo malo". So, since I was 12, all my hair has known is hot blow dryers, flat irons, strong chemical relaxers and keratin (yes, my first relaxer was at 12 and I remember my scalp with open sores from the chemicals, yet they continued and I got such a positive response that I continued to do it throughout all of my teenage years all of my twenties and part of my 30s). Media and society pushes this European standard of beauty that we think curly hair cannot be beautiful. Well you know what...FUCK THAT!!! Fuck all of it. This hair represents my culture, the spirit of strong women before me who fought to survive and I am NOT CHANGING this mane to fit some standard of beauty. This beast is beautiful in it's self and no one can tell me otherwise. I am learning how to take care of it now, how to nurture it and love her (and me in the process). @witchiloveyourhair has helped me with her Crystal spray. Yes. IT HAS CRYSTALS IN IT!! Please please please do yourself a favor and check her out. Seriously in love with her and her products.
