Those pics of Jon remind me of when I walked in on my parents watching GOT some few years ago when I was a kid, and I saw Jon on the screen and saw those curls and was like, "is... is that a black man? Is he mixed?" Because my curl pattern is very similar to his in the way that his hair looks like mine when I get out of the shower and it's sopping wet before it dries and shrinkage beats my ass and steals my hair length😔
Now I'm just imagining a black or half black reader (or just anyone with textured hair) introducing him to their 500 step hair care routine for how they keep their hair healthy and curls popping, just for him to get all medieval and be like, "I just use soap and water for my hair," and proceed to get jumped because wHAT DO YOU MEAN-

you could be highborn & staying at the wall or sometjing, and you whip out these oils, soaps, creams, scarves, the whole nine yards. you see jon’s mild confusion and half interest, and without prompt, start explaining everything step by step. saying this hair oil is for growth (your mother always loved your hair), another one for health, this cream is for hydration, this one is for detangling, the scarf is for while you sleep or when you travel so it doesn’t get messed up etc. and he watches with complete fascination, as arya never messed with her hair & sansa would retch at the idea of explaining her hair care to him. he sees your eyes light up with an idea, and then you’re pulling him closer with your gaze trapped on his curls (they’re popping the next day)
