It was early, no later than six in the morning when you woke up to a light patter outside your tent, you knew exactly what it was. You got up and wrapped your fur blanket around yourself that was just brought back from a bunker the Ark found. You slipped your shoes on and peered outside your tent, and sure enough there he was, Bellamy Blake and all his glorious features. He saw your head pop out and smiled immediately, mmm that smile.

“Of course,” you smiled, “would you like to come in?” 

He strutted into your tent and sat on the bed as you let the blanket fall off of yourself and onto the tarp on the ground, hoping the sight of you in just my bra and underwear would catch his eye; your wishes came true when Bellamy cleared his throat and you turned around to face him. He looked serious, like he was contemplating what to say next so as not to say the wrong thing. You loved what the two of you had, you trusted him with your entire life, as he did you. “So, where are we off to today?” you questioned, still curious as to what he did all night. 

“It’s a surprise, you’ll see,” he replied, clearly excited so you stopped questioning. 

 Bellamy walked to the right and slightly in front, you guys walked behind all of the tents to the part of the fence he and you had broken to sneak out. Sometimes everyone got way too intense and you just needed a walk. Skaikru are at peace with the grounders, it's been that way for about two months now. Kane took the seal and Skaikru became the thirteenth clan in Lexa’s coalition. It was nice not constantly having to fight for your lives, being able to actually live. You had Clarke and Bellamy to thank for that, if not for them grounders would have wiped out everyone. You squeezed through the gap in the gate and he led you West in the woods. 

“How did you sleep?” he asked as you walked through the woods to the yet unknown location. 

“Pretty good, would have been better if you were in bed with me, though,” you teased, grabbing his hand and smiling up at him. 

“Well, princess, I didn’t know I was invited. I never would have passed that offer up,” he replied smiling back to you. Everything he does is so attractive: the way he walks, talks, smiles, even breathes. He is just so perfect. 

“You’re always invited, Bell,” you said sincerely and he looked back to me, kind of like he was surprised. You wondered what he was thinking, so you asked, “What are you thinking about, huh?”

“Come on, let's go back here,” he smirked and grabbed your hand, shining the flashlight in front of you. You walked back the hallway that had clearly been recently cleaned. 

“When did you find this place, Bell?” you were so amazed with this place. 

“Three days ago, I’ve been getting it ready to bring you here since then…” he stated trailing off. He was shy and you could tell, little did he know that just about everything he said was bringing you closer and closer to bringing you both together. 

“This is amazing,” you whispered as you walked into the far left room in the back. There was a huge bed with huge blankets and pillows. You have never seen something that looks so comfortable in your whole life. 

“I haven’t slept in three days and I know you were up for two before last night, what do you say?” he questioned, looking into your eyes and smirking, you just shook your head and bit your lip at the way he looked in the light of the candles he lit. You stripped your jacket, shirt, and leggings back off and crawled into the huge bed under the blankets. Bellamy removed his shirt and took off his shoes then climbed in right beside you. It felt so nice to actually feel safe, like there was more than just fighting to life. Peace was the greatest thing ever, peace and freedom is what we had, and you wanted it to be special while you have it.

You watched as the horses and Rovers came through the gates at the front of the Compound. IT was the Mosaraths, Lexa’s people and this new Clan, the Sky Crew. Who had fallen from the sky. When the rider from Indra had came telling you the AI that had been responsible for The Great Fall had been destroyed and they needed a New Heda. You had agreed for them to come to your lands and search.

You had met them in the ‘throne room’ where they had told you what happened. From the moment she opened her mouth you took a disliking to Clarke Griffin, she spoke out of turn and thought she could Command the respect to do so. You had finally thrown a knife at her feet and threatened to take her head and hang it from your wall. From then she shut up and avoided you mostly. You had talked to Octavia and Raven after that, you liked them. They were smart and a warriors. 

After that you had given them a quarters in the Compound and had gotten on with your life. Only they always seemed to be hanging around. It annoyed your people too. They believed the Mosaraths were below them, which heightwise for the men it was true. The tallest of them only stood to the shoulders on your men. The women, well you were a different story. You barely reached some of the Mosaraths shoulders and even Clarke was taller than you.

There had been a good few fights so far, none involving Sky Crew though, and you wished your Father had been here. He had been the one to bring peace between your people but he was gone and now you were in his place. You had only taken them in out of respect for Lexa, who you had trained with in your youth, and him.

You stood on the cliff overlooking the forest below. The moonlight and stars were the only light that flooded the landscape. Your hand went to your hip where your sword was strapped. You never made eye contact but looking out over the forest. ‘I should have called when I seen you’ You nodded and looked towards him. He was already looking at you.

You bright eyes met his deep brown ones and your breath caught in your throat. ‘I asked inside where you were, Gendry told me out here, said this was where you went when something bad happened Kai’ He laid his hand on your thigh his eyes searching yours. ‘My Father was a Kairon before I was leader here. He died eight years ago’ His hand left your thigh and grabbed your hand. ‘He went into the Mountain to get my other and never came out’ A wind blew the hair from your face. ‘I went in a month later and found them. They told me my Father had come across the Reapers and my brother had been one’ You took a deep breath in ‘He hesitated, and my brother killed him’ Bellamy opened his mouth to answer but you got there before him. ‘I didn’t, when my brother came at me I had killed him. The fact that I got our people out and killed him without hesitation was what had gotten me nominated’ You looked away from him unable to hold eye contact with him. 

In your culture to begin the trials that you had to pass to become a leader you had to be a unanimous decision among the leaders that you could be nominated and to be nominated you had to do something recognisable. You felt him take his hand from yours and your hand dropped. The Sky Crew were not like your people they didn’t understand the ways of your people. The you must do anything you can to survive mentality. But you felt him wrap his arm around your shoulder and pull you towards him.

You breathed out a sigh of relief and wrapped your arm around his back. ‘We do what we need to for our people’ You closed your eyes leaning into him for a proper hug. You wrapped your other arm around him slipping your arm under the jacket he was wearing. ‘I killed my Brother Bellamy, would you kill Octavia?’ You felt him tighten his arm around you and he scooted closer to you. ‘Octavia isn’t a Reaper’ He whispered. ‘You did what you needed to do Kai’ You closed your eyes. ‘Y/n my name is Y/n’ You looked up at him through your lashes.

You seen his eyebrows furrow. ‘Y/n’ He breathed. You liked the sound of your name coming from his lips. ‘Y/n’ You repeated. ‘Kai is a title, like Heda’ You informed him and heard him hump. ‘I’ve never heard anyone call you Y/n’ He mused. ‘They don’t know my name, all Dark bloods, only their family knows their name’ He pulled back a little. ‘It’s because someday we may become Kai or Kairon’ He blinked a second. ‘Your Dad’s name wasn’t Kairon’ He realised and you shook his head. ‘Lucan’ You looked away from him. ‘Why did you tell me if it's only family that knows?’ He asked and you shrugged not wanting to look in those eyes. ‘Because I trust you and it felt wrong to have you calling em something so formal’ Bellamy put his hand on you chin and turned you to face him.

You smiled a little. ‘Y/n’ He breathed. ‘I like it’ He smiled down at you.  ‘I like you saying it, I haven’t heard it in a long time’ You breathed. ‘I will call you Y/n whenever I can’ You smiled and leaned in pressing your lips to his. You felt him tense and pulled yourself away from him. You opened your eyes and they widened. 

Bellamy reached out and wrapped his hand around the back of your neck. He pulled you back to him your lips pressing against his again. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders as he gripped your waist. You sighed leaning into him. You had wanted to do this since you seen him. You want to press yourself against him his lips against yours. You felt his tongue run along your bottom lip.

You pushed yourself up off the rock and threw your leg over his lap straddling him. You hands slid up into his hair pulling his head back and opened your lips. His tongue teased yours at first but then began to fight for dominance. When he won he tangled his fingers in your hair and tugged a little. You gasped and you felt him smirk a little. He pulled away and pulled your head back. His lips attached to your jaw as you sighed.

His lips moved down you neck and you gripped his hair tighter. ‘Bellamy’ You breathed and he leaned back a little. ‘Y/n’ He smiled and pulled your lips back to his. You sighed contently as his tongue slipped between your lips again massaging your tongue.

You pulled away a few minutes later. ‘We should go back inside’ You pushed yourself off him. His hands landed on your hips. ‘Thank you for listening Bellamy’ You smiled and laid your hands on his biceps as he stood. ‘You’re welcome Y/n’ A smile spread across your face. ‘It’s so good to hear that again. I’m glad I told you’ You squeezed his muscles. ‘And I’m glad it was you’ He smiled and leaned down kissing you again. ‘I’ll walk you back to your room’  He breathed. ‘Thank you’ You smiled as you both turned walking back through the trees to the compound.

Not your fault (Bellamy x Reader) [Part 2]

He turned to look at you, surprised by what he saw. Concern was written all over your face, contrasting with your usual cold expression. “I-hum...yeah I’m fine, thanks to you.”

You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. “Good. I didn’t have time to check if you were hurt, we needed to get out of there.”

“(Y/N)...” Bellamy started.

You ignored him and kept rambling. “I don’t know what they were doing here, I’ve never seen reapers in this part of the woods before, it’s...”

“(Y/N)!” His hand on your arm startled you, finally getting you to stop.

“Hum...right. Sorry. Yes?” You answered, slightly confused.

“Thank you. I’m serious, you saved my life back there. It’s on me, I should have been more careful, I just...I tend to get distracted when you’re around.” He admitted, smiling weakly at the end of his statement.

You stiffened, looking at the ground. “Bell, I can’t...”

He gave your arm a gentle squeeze, making you look up. “Hey, I understand if you don’t feel the same, I just needed to get it off my chest.”

“That’s not it. I do like you, but I can’t...be with anyone.” You bit your lip guiltily.

“Why?” His tone was soft, encouraging. It gave you the strength you needed to tell him what you’d never admitted to anyone. You took a deep breath. “Because I don’t want you to get hurt. Everyone around me, everyone I love always gets hurt. My parents got floated for protecting me. The only friend I had died because he was reckless enough to follow me on the dropship. Every time I get close to someone, something bad happens to them. And I can’t let anything bad happen to you.”

You finally looked into Bellamy’s eyes, surprised to see, instead of anger or pity, complete and utter understanding. “Is that why you’re so cold with everyone? Why you always push people away? You’re trying to protect them?”

You nodded. “It’s the only way.”

His hand moved to your face, stroking it softly. “No it’s not. I understand how you feel, I blamed myself for so long for not being able to protect my sister, to save my mother. But at one point you need to accept that it isn’t your fault. And that will be easier if you let people in, if you let them help you.”

You nodded slowly, closing the gap between the two of you. “I can give it a try.”
