HOW CAN THEY JUST CASUALLY THROW OUT THE REMINDER THAT HE'S DEAD?!?!?! I mean, shit, I know SPN is an endless torrent of heartbreak and pain, but that's too cruel even for them!

I mean, Joshua and Metatron have to at least HEARD God, but is the fact that the Archangels are the only four to have seen Him even true, or did they engineer it that way? Did they never see God at all, and just claimed it - or had the others seen and they erased their memories?

Is what Ion said true? That the bureaucratic caste (choir?) has significantly different experiences than the warriors in the garrisons? Why would Naomi erase Castiel’s memory of the Tenth Plague? Was it a byproduct of tampering, or did the Archangels order it?

HOW did they takeover? What were their roles? If God left, and then they took over, and THEN Lucifer was cast out, what does that say about the four of them? Are there even just four? Is the story Michael programmed into everyone that God ordered them to cast Luc out, or was it really a thing? When did Gabe leave? He seemed disgusted by his family as much as at anything.

I was pondering the other day about Gabe’s last Big Scene. Richard likes to joke about the “great big bag of dicks” line, and I love the one about “Damn right they’re flawed, but they TRY”. But I was wondering, in the context of the current themes of choice and something rotten in Heaven…if the most important part of that scene was “No one makes us do anything.”
