the only bad thing abt reading the hadestown lyrics book commentary is it makes you mourn So Many changed or deleted lyrics that you wouldn't have known about otherwise. like there are some that run through my head constantly
My music taste is defined entirely by character playlists on Spotify and my newest obsession
Picking the song off folklore that hurts the least to end my night with is impossible

sage warren + malia tate • [[ transcendence ]]
“ After she turned, Malia Tate had very little contact with ordinary human beings. In fact the only two people she saw for the first couple of days were her father and a social worker that had turned up on the doorstep the morning after Sheriff Stilinski had returned the reluctant coyote home. Her father tiptoed around her, thankful to have his daughter back but terrified to say or do something that might push her away. The social worker, a woman with pointed features and an aroma that made Malia scrunch her nose in disgust, looked at Malia with a sort of synthetic sympathy that made the teenager want to bear her teeth in anger.
The next person Malia met was a girl just as wild as herself, with cropped icy blonde hair and a head full of secrets. Sage Warren was by no means ordinary, but Malia had been detached from reality for such a time that ‘normal ’ wasn’t really a concept for her anymore. The pair became an unlikely duo, one emotionally unattached to the world around them, the other seeing the world for the very first time. Whilst Sage did not necessarily feel love for other human beings, she could learn to trust them and she trusted Malia Tate with every fibre of her being. ”
