😅 Was there a fic/chapter that you were nervous about posting? Why?

Hoh boy!

To be honest, I’m actually always a little nervous about posting, I can be so shy with my work, there’s still a part of me that doesn’t think I’m all that great of a writer even with all the incredibly kind reception to my stories. Anxiety and low self esteem can be so fun like that. There’s also the nervousness of not living up to everyone’s expectations when posting a new chapter, especially with a scene you’ve been building up to. I’m slowly working on getting better with this.

But, anyway, the most recently nervous I’ve been posting was the latest chapter of Vecna’s Bride, the last scene specifically. It was very 😳 and even though I knew everyone was wanting/expecting some of that via the comments lol I was digging my palms in my eyes after clicking the post button, wondering if I had gone too far 😆

It’s actually inspired art by @denkiddo1 which is so cool because the story was originally inspired by @roxymorondraws fanart.

It’s really helped me not be so nervous about putting my work out there, sharing a little bit of yourself brings artists together 🤍

Definitely the opening chase scene when Chrissy’s taken by Henry, it was such a thrilling beginning and it’s always fun to put a twist on canon lines and sequences. It had so many classic gothic horror/thriller elements. 🖤
