❛ i think that about covers it all... ❜ anya quietly muses as she finishes her walk around the tulpar, her tone soft in quiet contemplation, a finger tapping her chin as she mentally goes over the list of rooms to show off to the newest arrival. daisuke seems really nice so far! a bit energetic compared to anya's own wavelength, but maybe that's just what the ship needs. she turns to meet his gaze, a shy smile on her features.
❛ now that you've seen the place - well, except for the storage room, which none of us have... ❜ cue a nervous little laugh, eyes flitting away for a moment before returning to @cursedfell. how silly of her. ❛ do you have any questions? i'd be happy to answer. ❜

"it's already been a bad day, Are you sure you want to add more to it?"
"you're ugly." - five year old megumi
“Listen to me, listen well” his long stature hovers for a second, then, it looms. The smell of lychee jelly && fresh pastries, a juvenile but mean grin spreading across his cheeks as the barrier drifts. Lowered, his balmy touch reaches, then suddenly smooshes together’s Megumi’s cheeks. “If you don’t think for one second that I am above having a beef with a kid, think again!” he’s just going to keep squishing, pulling, toying with the pliable flesh. “Megumi-chan! Don’t be mean to me or I’ll cry for a hundred years, do you want me to be tortured!?”
@cursedfell's chigiri hyoma & the fate / continued
𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘫𝘪𝘯𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪'𝘴 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳, 𝘮𝘦𝘪 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘳. putting her analytical skills to use however sounded more fun and entertaining than spending more and more time in classes, fighting the urge to just leave and never come back ( it's because she's already long on a college - like level of education, or even past that ). obviously, project blue lock won't solve the issue of her face blindness, but for now it's extra brain exercise she might need later.
in conclusion, why not?
the project's budget didn't suffer other than having to feed and house one more person — she wasn't doing it for the money, but purely for her own enjoyment. told to not play favorites, she couldn't stop herself from having some — because let's be real, out of hundreds of diamonds in the rough, just a few were worth of her attention.
to some, she found herself drawn more and more. surprisingly, it wasn't the genius prodigy, rin, nor the highly intelligent field readers like niko and isagi who were showered in the most attention outside scheduled training session, but someone completely out of her skill zone.
one look at mei and it was clear she haven't kicked a singular soccer ball in her life, not to mention running or exercising in general.
chigiri is fast.
and he's also surprisingly brave, or stupid, or both. before isagi gets hurt, he's the one to pull him out of the harm's way, and although unmei knows how to protect herself, she suddenly finds wishes there was someone else to stand between her and danger.
initial intent behind engaging in a conversation with hyoma is a mystery to the girl as well. for sure, flustering him is nice, but even she couldn't predict to what extent. if she knew he was blushing, she would hate her condition even more — luckily the endlessly grey blur remains unreadable, and no amount of focusing on it would change that fact — as chigiri turned away with his head down.
he speaks softer when he talks to her. he's nicer, less snappy. she didn't think much of it, but she's also not her usual bitchy self. being around chigiri softens her, too.
❝ should i give you a kiss on the cheek as a reward instead? ❞ she continues with her teasing, taking a step closer. yup, unmei said it out loud with all the others in earshot distance, completely unashamed.
“WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?” the strange lilt echoes like a taunting melody. His smile is fanged, ravenous like wolves that watches in awaiting, retracting, his sleek structure moves back. Residuals that linger, smelling of sweet incense, yuzu && pine, purity to ward off what was defilement && all that was touched with blight. Emerald eyes, caustic akin to bubbling poison continue to brew as they linger, who are you to deny me? His gaze taunts, though his mouth never matches the intent. A shadowy man, poised in black, even the sash of his robe as he laughs with delighted splendor. “Tsk, what reflexes you have! Enough to dodge me, If we were anywhere else, I’d ask for combat” the wolf leans in, canine’s glistening, sneering in his amusement till he pulls back. Straightening out his form, a haphazard look of boredom takes him, he knows best to not act out, to hang his head in shame for remaining the son without a claim.
“Hm, our clan doesn’t take in strays, how did you manage to pass the front gates with such a brazen nature? Don’t lie now or I’ll have to punish you, @cursedfell”

❝ THERE'S A FACE i never thought i'd see again. ❞ the cafe's lunch rush has slowed to a trickle, suguru one-manning the front as mimiko and nanako flit around bussing the tables left behind by a gaggle of teenagers on summer break. not that one-manning the front is necessarily difficult today — his customers consist of an elderly regular reading the newspaper by the window, a couple working remotely at a booth, and...
suguru's hands are frozen in their pursuit of polishing a pint glass. completely still, cloth still folded around the rim. ❝ what are you doing here? ❞
