This woman is a true warrior. She has the heart of a lion. She has multiple sclerosis. She has the spirit of a dragon. She’s deaf in her left ear. She’s got a black belt in karate. And she’s as humble as a devoted zen monk. Her name is Maggie @brokedownpalacebook She’s a writer and musician. She’s a former paramedic who’s seen a storm of trauma including 9/11 and some of the worst years Hell’s Kitchen had to offer. She’s an inspiration to her teacher, to the other students, and we’re sure to so many more beyond the dojo walls. Maggie is a pillar in our dojo. Her actions remind us not to complain about the little things, and just train. Or as she would say, “Shut the F*%K up, and TRAIN!”. She kinda curses with the best of em.
