i totally understand the situation with your grandma, i have battles every single day with my grandmother about my weight, its horrible to be constantly hit down by someone that is supposed to be supportive of you no matter what, over time i've just had to grow a thick skin and remember that i know better.

Exactly!

I love her to death, but she can be so mean. When I was younger, both her AND my other grandmother would make comments about my weight and tell me that I'd 'be a really stunner if I just lost a few pounds.' or that 'all the boys would be falling over themselves to get to me' (I LOST SOME WEIGHT A FEW YEARS AGO AND THIS SO DIDNT HAPPEN). And let me tell you, it took me YEARS to get over that kind of emotional trauma. 

But now, just like you said, I've grown thick skin and I don't let what anyone else says about me affect how I view myself. They don't have to like what I wear or how I look, because I do and that's all that matters to me!
