Beheading princesses, brb
You know you’re in to custom dolls when you’re eyeing that box o’ Princesses and thoughts go to ‘Cher needs that body’.
So have a thing for 9 years know what it’s for aside back when it was about Rapunzel I snagged the 10 pack of Disney Princesses for $5 a girl. Needing pale skin tone jointed bodies later I think a few of them are going to lose their heads.
The Cher I speak of is the Clueless doll and she has a lovely face. For awhile she’s been on one of those 100 Poses Fashionistas which is darker than her face, same with Amber. There’s a couple other gals in the same predicament including the new to me vintage gals. And their friend Dionne is on a princess Tiana body.
That batch of princesses have click knees and high heel feet BUT they have elbows and wrists. I will put up with click knees for elbows and wrists. I grew up with mostly 80s TnTs and had a choice of strait arms or bent arms.
If you’ve never touched a regular Obitsu female body don’t, you’ll never be able to go back to a strait leg Barbie again.
I’ll be keeping the Disney heads in storage. If I can ever get to making a Robert Smith doll he’s going to need a Mary and Snow White is short listed for that. I just wish there was a bigger than average but not so curvy Barbie for her. Kind of a Marilyn Monroe shaped body.
At least this will help me not spend money on the dolls. The vintage heads were a fluke but I got to remember there’s stuff in the bin with the inflatable furniture that I haven’t seen in years. There was still a cup from a porcelain tea set in there.
There will be some 100 poses bodies freed up too.
